What a relief it is to know that it was just a dead battery, the reason my laptop wasn't working. This purchase surely was a blessing... it was priced well and it shipped to me within a couple of days. Now, my laptop is back up and running well.

Lightweight and well, works! I don’t know what else you talk about in a charger, but I got it because my old charger wouldn’t connect properly (plugged in but would need to find an angle to charge). This would still have that occur sometimes (most likely due to my port), but was much less frequent. Missing one star because I realized that it is lent grounded and it also makes noise when plugged in to outlet but disconnected from laptop.

It came really quickly, which I was grateful for. It fit perfectly and works great. My only complaint is that where most of my power cords have a 45 degree bend where it connects into the laptop to help prevent breakage, this one did not. I ordered two at the same time. Good thing I did because as luck would have it, my dog jumped on my lap and it slid to the floor and landed on, you guessed it, the power cord. It bent it where it connects into the laptop and was unusable. I'm on my second one now and thankfully haven't had any other mishaps. But for the price it was a great buy and I just pay closer attention when I have it plugged it. If this one breaks, for the price, I'll be buying the same one again.

If you have a computer that won't charge try replacing the charger with one made specifically for your model.For my hand-me-down computer, I replaced the battery but that didn't fix it - it just would not charge. An IT guy at work looked it over & suggested a replacement charger made specifically for my laptop. It works! Decent basic computer rendered of use again!

We have an older model Gateway laptop that our kids use for homework. During our move the power cord was misplaced, and I bought this as a replacement until we found the original. It has really worked out great, and I have given up looking for the original.

My charger died the day before I received a very expefnsive digital photo frame and mp3 player I'm giving as Christmas gifts.I need my laptop to download some music for my husband and pics for my son-in-law. I freaked out because I didnt want to spend much money to replace the charger. This one was cheap, came in a few days, and charged my laptop in record time. Great buy.

Charges the computer as designed, but the connection to the “power box” is kind of loose, very annoying.

Similar one lasted about a year. Still can buy 3 or 4 for price of one original. I use bag a lot and wires get shorted with bending and use. My two laptops use the same size so having an extra or two is worth the relatively inexpensive cost.
