For £200 this is a remarkably sophisticated product. The best bits: Camera is impressive. The battery capacity is very good. Bloatware is minimal. The design is upmarket. The downsides: It is large. I have large hands so find it comfortable. This phone would be uncomfortable for people with small or overage size hands. There is no headphone jack so you need to use bluetooth headphones. For a person who 4 years ago had a nokia with a total of two apps, it has been a bit of a learning curve but with the help of my wife the transition from a £100 to the next step up has been relatively painless. This is a beautiful looking and well made piece of kit.

I love this phone. My old OnePlus 2 phone has been playing up a lot lately and I needed to replace it. I have been looking at Xiaomi phones for sometime now and made a shortlist of the ones that met my needs.This Xiaomi mi8 Lite fits the bill. I have the 6GB RAM / 128GB Internal Storage version, which also has SD card slot if I need it. It also supports OTG, which I have tested using an OTG cable and a memory stick.It feels very smooth in the hand with an excellent screen and takes pretty good photos too. I have fitted a tempered glass screen saver as I do tend to drop the phone sometimes. I haven't yet tried the fingerprint facility or the face recognition, which I will do soon.

Before this phone I had the Samsung Galaxy S8 which I loved, unfortunately it had to be replaced. This Mi-8 Lite performs just as well as the Samsung overall, barring three small niggles.The screen - in comparison to the super amoled screen on the S8, the colours on the Mi-8 Lite do look slightly washed-out and less vibrant. However now that I've been using the phone for a few weeks I can't say I notice it, overall it's a very sharp screen.The brightness - it looks very bright indoors, but when outdoors in bright sunlight it does look a bit dim. For this reason it was much better using Google Maps on the S8 whilst driving, but again this is a minor concern in the grand scheme of things.The camera - whilst it's very good for capturing still images such as scenery, food, architecture etc, it's not great with subjects that are moving. I have young children who don't sit still for two seconds, and sometimes when I take photos of them on the Mi-8 Lite I'll get "ghosting" or blurred images.Overall though it's fantastic in every day use, the fingerprint scanner is lightning quick and there's no lag when opening multiple apps. I play Real Racing 3 on it which is quite demanding on the processor, but I've not experienced any issues at all. In fact I believe the chipset was developed especially for gaming.The stock launcher looks a little bit tacky in my opinion, and you can't resize the app logos. So I've installed the Evie Launcher which I think looks much more classy, and offers far more customisation.So overall I'm very pleased, especially considering the price. If you bought a SIM free handset on the high street for the same cost, you'd struggle to find something that performs as well as this.

Nice phone by it price.. long battery life and it charge very fast! Probably I haven't learned how to use camera that's why my picture s are not good quality! Touch screen is a bit poor quality because sometimes it get stuck for few secounds!I like the design and performance..

What a great phone, does everything that I need. Battery life is really good, lasts a good day with plenty of browsing. Love the style and really easy to use. Easily does what the more expensive brands do at a fraction of the price. Had it a good month now and cannot find a fault.

Fast deliver. Its is a fast phone and good in gaming like pubg, ROS, mobile legends, call of duty etc. Best android phone bought and very reliable. Its cheaper than other smart phones but worth the price and comes with a stylish design.

Great value for money. There are a few things that I wish it had like app button, ability to move Mi apps but can't really complain given the price. Hand set Feels like a quality product, interacts are fantastic. It's a little difficult to use with one hand due to size but you can shrink screen with a swipe which is really good.

I have had expensive mobile phones in the past. I took a chance in buying this phone, having had enough of buying expensive over priced mobiles, and have no regrets in purchasing. I think it is a fantastic phone and functionally can notice no difference with the more expensive phones I have had in the past. This phone suites my needs perfectly. From a functional point of view the phone is lightning fast whatever function is required of it. The screen is fantastic. The photographs taken on this phone are superb and to all those taken in by the hype about cameras on phones just remember whether its a Nikon or Canon camera it just will not make you a better photographer. I highly recommend this mobile phone.
