Does the trick, but it's tricky.

We tried feeding an elderly cat with this. The silicone tip is a plus, because it protects the cat's tongue from being caught between his teeth and the feeder if he accidentally bites down. But the hole is pretty small, so you have to really blend the food to complete liquidity for it to flow through properly. One negative is that it's hard to get the plunger out to clean it, and at one point in a rush I broke the plunger trying to remove it. The tip isn't easy to clean either. I use q-tips along with a sponge.

Wasn't able to use on my pet

The only reason I gave the rating a 'c' is because I was never able to use it. My cat passed away the day I ordered it. I do, however, like the way it is made and the long nozzle which (I think) would make is easy to place in pet's mouth to force feed solids and liquids.
