A fine improvement over prior enclosures I've used from China which claimed to be waterproof but were designed with intentional flaws and poor workmanship.The Lifeproof enclosure is easy to open and close when it is necessary. It maintains a consistent waterproof and shockproof seal.One does need to be careful how one opens and closes the component which protects the power port but if one is attentive this enclosure can protect one’s phone for years.

Life proof cases have been my go to for over 6 years now every since I’ve had an iPhone I’ve had a waterproof life proof case and can 100% say when I’m the case I’ve never once had any damage, through 10 ft falls, swimming pictures, and playing music in the sauna. 10/10 recommend everytime

I’ve only had this case for four days, but so far, so good. It’s a LifeProof case, which I’ve owned before for past iPhones, and there are some small, but significant improvements , and unfortunately, some pesky remaining issues. THE GOOD: 1. It’s Waterproof. I mainly got this case for wintertime and also usage in areas like pools or the ocean to be able to use my phone and not worry about damage. 2. THE SCREEN is good! With the new iPhone XS Max, I didn’t want any type of screen cover to ruin that beautiful OLED screen. Thankfully, this case’s built-in screen cover is flat laying & there’s no noticeable gap between screen protector and phone. THE “BAD”:The Price is outrageous. I ended up getting this off Amazon during what must’ve been a Black Friday discount. I see the price is back up again. $89 is way, way too much. Get this case during a sale or wait until that price goes down! THE EDGES wear way too easily. If, like me, you remove your cases often then be prepared to have slightly cosmetic damage to the areas that you remove the case. Sadly, LifeProof did not include the handy plastic “case key,” that they did with previous cases to open this case. I kept one from a iPhone 8 Plus and used that, but even with that, it leaves a little cosmetic damage. And they suggest you use a coin?!?!?? If you do use a coin you’re gonna bend your case edges. You’ve been warned! Overall, I’m happy with this case for the price I paid (around $49).

Received it within 48 hours. Love that. Life proof is always very dependable this is no exception. Love the color. Love that it comes with a built in screen protector. Love that I don't have to worry about my phone getting broken or scratched.

I will NEVER own a phone without having one of these cases. My last phone (which I had for over 3 years) had bounced down streets, fallen in toilets, been spilled on countless times by my children - still came out of the case looking just as new as the day I bought it. When my phone fell in the toilet I put some soap on it and washed it like I would dishes and phone worked and smelled just fine!When I got my new phone I didn’t see any cases available except an otter box and then I had to get the “glass” to go with it. Crap... it was all crap. In less than a month the “glass” overlay had a crack in it. I was truly worried that my precious phone was going to break... I was finally able to find a Lifeproof case for my new phone and are once again worry-free because my phone is now truly “meproof” once again!Thank you for saving my phone, lifeproof!

I really wanted to like this case. But I can't.1. The screen protector interferes with Siri. The phone screen is designed to turn off when you put the phone to your ear. It does this when it detects the front-facing camera/sensors are in close proximity with your face/ear. That's normal. The screen protector on this case trips this sensor, causing the screen to go black. Siri's audio is then re-routed through the ear speaker at the top of the phone as a normal phone-to-ear call would be. This happens nearly every time I try to use Siri. Not okay.2. The screen protector is not flush against the screen. Especially around the edges, I have to push down to make contact. This makes hitting some UI elements difficult at best.3. The cover for the charging port is difficult to close. I have to squeeze the case together (front to back) to be able to close it.4. The lenses for the back cameras interfere with image quality and create a nasty "halo" effect.5. Speaker and mic audio is muffled.6. Bubbles / visual artifacts under the screen protector are distracting.7. The rubber ring around the edge frequently pops out of its place and is difficult to put back into place when reassembling the case.In the past I have enjoyed Lifeproof products. Maybe I have a bad apple. If Lifeproof would like to send me a new one to try, I wouldn't be opposed. But so far, I have found this case to be disappointing at best.

I think I might have been the first to order because at this time stil not available to order on the lifeproof website. I got it today and it fits perfect. I get comfort from have my phone case completely waterproof.

Lifeproof usually have best protective cases but not this FRE case. There is an air space between the screen and inbuilt screen protector makes it impossible to use . i have to press the screen hard to get to the apps or to do typing. i stopped using the case soon after .

Love a lifeproof case. Wanna throw your phone around or put it in the pool or just in general not worry about it. Buy this case
