*** EDIT ***I will leave the old review here (below) - but after about a year of use, it just stopped working properly. No drops. No water. I've done nothing to cause this. The problem is this: One press - gets me nothing. Two presses - the bright beam. Three presses - the area light. Four presses - turns off. NO MORE RED LIGHT AT ALL. No more 'direct to red light' feature. No more selecting the preset secondary brightnesses. *** a few days later, it died completely. Puts me off the brand reliability - which is a shame because I like some of the Nebo designs.Like I said below, if you are going out in the field, take something more reliable. Poor quality.****Love the light. The angled head, magnetic base, and 2-way belt clip allows for a very versatile work light.Well worth reading the instructions on this item - You can always use it at 100% brightness (beam or area light). You can also shortcut to a preset (by you) level of secondary brightness, from 100% down to 10%. There is also the 'direct to red light' operation which I use constantly at night.At 100%, this is very bright and enough for most applications.I like/prefer the size and heft of this light - there is a smaller one if that matters to you. My only issue is that it is a work light - but not really an 'outdoor' or camping light - it's not waterproof and I doubt it would do well in any significant drop. If you are going out in the field, you may want to take something else. The three AA battery pack allows for about 7500mAh if you use a decent rechargeable battery - it's lasted well for my uses.

Its a heavy torch made of a metal shell and prone to being dropped when using belt hooks as a result... This always damages the chassis which bodes the question 'why no rubber cover?'. It would make it easier to grip, more rugged for outdoor use, and minimise the chances of incidental damage. It has an 'o' ring to prevent water egress that is so flimsy mine broke the first time I opened the torch to change batteries. As far as battery life goes the 3 AA source doesn't last very long and notably drains much quicker when on broad or red light modes. Ultimately I like the product (I own two) but its just not as practical as it could or should be. Make it a touch lighter, given it a rubber outer case, improve build quality and you've got yourself a must-have illuminating device with endless uses.

This was a hugely useful torch . Alas the electronic controller failed after about a year of occasional use ( clock repairs ) and now will not stay on, only one light choice turns on and then off after about 5 seconds and the red light facility( useful for reflecting cleanliness of brass components) does not work at all. This is great shame because it is potentially a hgely useful product. I wish I could send it back for repair

ho già acquistato altre torce della marchia Nebo e sinceramente come robustezza confronto le altre due già in mio possesso questa la ritengo la migliore , se poi vediamo i particolari e anche più definita , con la possibilità di usarla sia con una angolazione di 90 gradi oppure come normale torcia per me è un vantaggio come potenza niente da dire è una 300 lume luce bianca e 30 lume luce rossa posso finire che la ritengo un valido prodotto
