Large 450ml Stoneware Barrel Shape Mug Cups (blue)

This is an unusual-shaped mug, it’s basically barrel-shaped with a handle. It’s larger than a standard mug and has a chunky, solid feel. I really like the handle as well, it’s a decent size and you can get three fingers in (possibly four if you have small hands). It’s perfect for substantial hot drinks, I like a large cup of coffee personally, I’m not into dainty cups!

Not much to say about a mug really is there? It seems to be built well but I haven't dropped it yet so can't be sure. It looks nice with the muted pastel colour and does the job, no complaints.Only thing I would say is I don't know why they're marketing it as large when it's the same size as my regular coffee mug. Ignore that and it's fine.

This is far smaller than expected - just a normal size mug - and probably smaller than stated (but I haven't actually measured). Also surprisingly heavy when empty! I sent it back.

Large and heavy matte-finished mugs and Chinese-made, one each in blue and green were purchased by an immediate family member. Unfortunately they appear to be almost unique by having a strong, negative impact on the flavours of any drink they contain and leave a long-lasting, unpleasant and difficult to relieve metallic taste in the mouth that persisted at the initial high level for about 4-5 hours and then faded over several hours more. The drinks are being made with the same ingredients, from the same bottles, packets etc as were those made immediately prior to their use when no such 'flavours' were noticed.Although claimed to be 'safe' - the context of the claim isn't given provided - there is considerable doubt as to whether the 'glaze' which may be paint as it is easily scratched, is removable and may contain lead, mercury or some other potentially harmful metal. As both users had noticed the effect after as few as 2 or 3 uses, it is a surprise that no other reviewers have. They will not now continue to be used and probably be discarded!

Item as described, nice large mug that holds a decent sized cup of tea. Lovely.
