Great pet stairs!
I have a partially paralyzed old Chihuahua who has gained some of his ability to get back up on the couch from having these steps. He's much happier now, having that ability back in his life. I would recommend them for anyone with a mobility challenged animal or for helping to keep your dachshund's back safe from jumping. Great stairs! They are easy to vacuum too!

great for little furry friends!
I bought this for my 2 elderly little furbabies. One is a pug and one is a havenese. Both have knee issues in their elderly years. My pug also has a spinal stenosis and not able to jump any longer. These steps allow my babies to climb on and off the couch very easily. They are foam so larger dogs over 15-20lbs would totally compress them, but these are perfect for small pets. The 4 step version is the perfect height for my couch. The cover zips off for washing. They are very lightweight and easily moved around. I like that they are soft foam and not a hard step to trip over right next to your couch. I would highly recommend this for anyone with a small pet that needs help getting on and off the furnature. My pug and havenese are very thankful too!

I like these stairs....
I think the material is great - the foam is soft but firm, and you can wash the outside cover. My "little" Pomeranian is 13.6 pounds - he's a big boy. He's nine and a half years old, and even though I have a low platform bed, he has a hard time jumping up these days. He also has a lot of anxiety, especially when he has to try something new. The stairs are great for him - we are training him using treats to go up and down. The only con I would say is that the stairs are very narrow and the steps themselves are not as wide as I would like. However, they are the exact measurements that were quoted on Amazon, so I can't complain. I like them. I think they are great for little dogs, especially older little dogs. I give them 4 stars.

Work great!
The media could not be loaded. I've had these for 9 months. I thought I did a review already. I bought these for my pure breed Chihuahua. Yes, she's long. 😄 She's a big 10 pounder! She is also a 13yo with CHF. Last spring she wasn't feeling so good and needed a set of stairs for the sofa. I don't have a lot of $$. So I was careful in picking stairs. The only potential problem I could see was wear. They'll actually held up fine. The fabric isn't as tight and it's a little wrinkly. It probably shrink back down with a wash. That's just how normal fabric wears. The foam has held up great. I have no complaints! Very happy and would buy again.

Very small and lightweight
These are much more compact and shorter than I anticipated - this is mostly my fault for not better looking at the dimensions, so I don't fault them for that and haven't factored it into this review. They unfortunately don't reach the full height of the bed, so my dog has to make a bit of a leap from the last step to the mattress. They are also VERY lightweight. I have a small 10lb dog that I bought these for, and they often slip around when he attempts to use them. I had to squish them between a heavy doorstop and the wall to keep them in place. Even then, my larger dogs constantly run into them and move them around. Might be okay if you were able to squeeze them between something, or maybe stick them to the floor with adhesive or something. And watch out if your dog likes chewing - these would very quickly be destroyed. On the positive side, the foam-like material is soft, which was my biggest initial concern. My dog is very picky about putting his feet on certain textures, but these feel great and he didn't have any hesitations about using them. They aren't slippery, either, and provide a nice texture for my senior pup whose balance is a little off.If you're looking for something small and can take steps to make sure these are sturdy, they'll probably be great for you. If you have kids or other animals that might knock them out of place, or if your pet likes to chew, I'd pass on these.

Two of my cats were having discomfort jumping down off of sofas.
I love the safety of this one especially compared to a hard plastic one I bought for our corgi when he had same problems as 2 of our older cats are now having. He refused to use it after first time because he couldn't get enough traction to keep from sliding, that's the main reason I chose this soft one with soft cloth cover. My 2 cats didn't have any problems and took to it after their first try! I guided them down the stairs the first time and they are choosing to use it to get both in and out of recliner n sofa every time! So it must be helping them with suspected joint pain issues. I thought the would only use it to get down, but they both like it so much that they're going both up and down with know trouble at all. It looks like it's made from material similar to a memory foam but much more structure. It's firmness does not/ has not yet smashed or squished down from all the use of 2 finicky cats always following me around when I leave the room. I could tell it would hurt their joints when they would stand for a little while after jumping to floor before coming on our routines! It also has never topped over from 2 pets using it. Must be designed to counteract the weight distribution. The first one I bought was at least twice the price and I was afraid of it falling over when he was on it. If he didn't get in the center it would start to lean. He wouldn't use it so thankfully we didn't have that problem. I feel much better watching them use it to get up and down that I made a good choice this time!
