Q: why cant i hear any audio from my Blu-RAy

It is probably in your connections. Is it HDMI, is it RCA, or optical? Are you using the TV's speakers or auxiliary connection? It will be hard for anyone in this post to determine what your problem is. I suggest you call where you bought the Blu-Ray from and ask them how to hook it up with the configuration that you want to use, or have at hand. If that doesn't work, you may have a defective unit. If the TV has sound, and if your external speakers work, then it is more likely your unit. Have you looked at your unit's manual to see how it has the hook up configured? Q: can you get redbox instant streaming?

Not sure we can get Instant streaming due to the Samsung disc player but we do stream from Netflix with our samsung smart tv. I'm not real technical, so I don't think it has anything to do with the blue ray player, just the TV and internet connection.
