The remote is the incorrect one for this model I can't edit. Can I get the correct one that is shown in the operating instructions .

Try contacting Panasonic Corp. Panasonic no longer makes DVD recorders but the remote controls for the various models the company made are fairly cross-compatable and Panasonic may have some in inventory to replace defective ones from years ago. You may also want to contact some of the better and bigger electronics repair/service centers near you to see if they might have a Panasonic DVD recorder remote around from a unit that was in for repair and not picked up. The ES 10 was and still is one of the best DVD recorders you can get at any price, good luck

you need to study the manual

i dislike the feature that does not allow recording copyrighted material. i bought the unit to record movies, flexable recording will allow 8 hrs on ep & you can select different times. i use dvd-rw so i can reformat a disk 7 start over when i tape Nascar Races. i am enjoying its use & have recorded about 20 movies.
