What I really like about this knife is the thickness and sturdiness of it, and being made from D2 steel. I looked through just about ALL of the knives offered on Amazon and this was the only one at this price point that would fit my needs. I'm an expert at destroying knives haha, I like to dig in the dirt/ untangle plant roots and repot plants as well as pry things apart (too lazy to grab a screwdriver). This knife will actually be used.*Read the other reviews though!*As others have mentioned, the edge is off center quite a bit and it will take work to fix it (knife is worth it though, IMHO). I wish I took some pics showing the knife before I fixed the edge, but forgot to :(This knife is heavy -I would not carry it on a belt, but the sheath is perfect for mounting inverted on the strap of my backpack/ perfect for fishing and allows me to draw it with one hand. I have no fears of the knife slipping out and slicing me silly, but time will tell how long the sheath/ Velcro holds up. The plastic sheath does hold the knife securely and I get absolutely zero wobble with the Velcro secured tightly around the handle.

I am not a technical knife guy, but I do appreciate a good knife, especially a fixed blade. The quality is better than expected at this price point, the sheath is well thought out, and includes multiple straps, including a leg strap. Makes the package easy to secure. Blade came sharp, and even. The handle is rubberized and solid. Proportions blade to handle are spot on.

Actually a great deal. The knife feels comfortable in the hand and the steel is strong. I'm a plumber and put this knife through quite a bit. I use it every day and haven't had any complaints yet.

Great little knife for camping

Just received this knife as a gift recently. The knife itself is nice and seems well made. The handle is comfortable and won’t slip if wet. Build quality is good overall, so for that alone it’s an excellent value. Where it fails is the sheath and straps. The velcro is poor quality and I doubt it will last very long or stay closed when worn on a day hike or when it gets wet. The handle strap with the supposed thumb-release is worthless and actually hampers getting the knife out of the sheath quickly. I actually think it’s unnecessary because the handle latches into the top of the sheath. I’ll probably remove and replace all the Velcro on mine with better stuff and remove the handle strap completely. Hate to have to go through all that extra work and expense just to make this knife usable, but I guess you get what you pay for!
