HUAWEI B618 Unlocked 4G/LTE 600 Mbps Mobile Wi-Fi Router White

We've just moved to a rural area where there's no fibre and the best home broadband offered was 2mb.We managed to get about 25mb with 4GEE with EE's own router. The Huawei router though made a huge 30% improvement on that getting 40mb performance on average. Simply insert the EE sim card and you're ready to go.

Works well and a good system for rural Suffolk.

The unit arrived without a UK plug. Just a European style power plug. Really should mention this on the description.

There's no doubt that this is a good router but be aware that this model the 65d variant does not cover band 20 800MHz which Three uses in the UK. This won't matter to you if you use Three and your local mast uses one of the other bands that Three use, and it won't matter if you're on EE, O2 or Vodafone, but otherwise you need the B618s-22d which does cover the 800MHz band.

I'm going to see if I have an adapter that will work, but thought others in lockdown would want to know that it's the wrong power pack. If not, I'll have to send it back 🙄
