This Valve seal works perfectly
If you selected the size correctly this valve works perfectly for the Mansfield and including the Mansfield 160 which is the toilet type in my home. You just simply remove the flush valve and stick the ring shaped valve after removing the old one. One solid word of advice. Do not push it all the way down and then tighten the valve back up. It doesn't stay on that way, the flush valve lifts when the toilet flushes and if the valve ring is not on properly the toilet will be in flush mode and not refill properly. the instructions don't tell you but when you place the valve on you do NOT push all the way to the bottom just to the little groove at the bottom of the flush valve and make sure the ring can spin or rotate easily. Then it will ensure a perfect fit. Remember it must be able to rotate or spin in the groove. If you bear this in mind when installing it, then it allows a clean lift of the flush valve when you flush and will likewise seal perfectly once the weight of the water comes back into the tank from the pump valve (the other valve of the toilet which is to the left of the flush valve) when you flush. No muss, no fuss, quick install if you remember this detail. I found out using a YouTube instructional clip. It is also written on the install instructions that come with the new seal.

Works great.
I knew this seal would fix a worn out one that would leak but didn’t know it would also fix the issue of the flush handle being difficult to push down to flush. Easy to replace and fixed the problem instantly. The one on the left in the photo is the old one that because it became cupped shape would make the toilet difficult to flush with the handle. The new flat one solved the issue.

works perfect; no need to replace entire toilet
the guy from Dr Plumber, said i'd be better off replacing my entire toilet ($800-$1600) with one that did not require this mansfield valve seal. NOT TRUE. after watching many youtubes; the secret is in getting this seal seated in the groove and not forcing it all the way down to the bottom of the piston thing. it works perfect. watch the youtubes for one that mentions the groove ; its just before the bottom of the piston. i am just a single mom; if i can do it, so can you!

Fixed my hard to flush toilet!
Toilet wasn't leaking but it was very hard to flush! Installed this, it was super easy and now I can flush no problem! Before I had to use 2 hands to pull the handle down.

Silicone not rubber but seems to do the trick
i was trying to get one of the original thicker rubber Mansfield seals like the original wheni bought this one. But it appears to be silicone in a fancy package. On the plus side it seems to work well and i've been reading that silicone can last up to 4 times longer than some kinds of rubber. so i guess time will tell. it arrived same day and solved the problem.

I use only fluid power seals from here on.
