I'm not French nor been to France but have made rillettes at home and read up on it. This stuff lacks IMO.At room temperature there is little pork or fat flavor, but at least there is not an excess of salt or pepper flavor. The room temperature snacking or on crackers experience is lackluster, reminding one of potted meat product.Note that the can suggests eating from chilled: when you do that I feel the texture improves and maybe even the flavor, though as I mention the flavor is very lacking--maybe stuff long in the can is not as good as your fresh kitchen rillettes which BTW could be made with skin on chicken thighs instead of fatty pork cuts.

Rilletes Henaff is a a quality product with a long shelf life. If you know you know kind of product. I find it to be delicious. It is however very expensive for such a small can.
