Big, Bulky & Pricey -- I agree -- but totally worth the $$$$
My sons love their Rescue Heroes, so when they got this gift last year -- they were very excited! Yes, I must say if you don't have the room -- don't purchase this item -- it 3 feet long by 1-1/2 wide! I have a small home and after receiving this toy, I had my bar (which we never used any how) taken down and a toy closet put up! My sons play with their Aquatic Rescue Command Center a lot! It is played with every time that they play with their figures. It definitely is the central gathering place for their Rescue Heroes awaiting to get their next task. If your child or children have Rescue Heroes -- this is a must, that's if you have the room! It comes with a cool battery-operated message center that has a virtual video screen -- just insert the video card to see and hear Warren Waters assign the Rescue Heroes one of the six missions. Rescue Hero Mission Command figures can talk with Warren Waters by inserting a talking mission card. My sons really get to use their imagination playing with all that is involved with this center, such as pivoting the rescue crane. It comes with a whale figurine, an elevator, a buoy, a life preserver launcher, backpack storage area, and hidden living quarters. This Command Center is made of VERY sturdy plastic (my 1-1/2 year old sat on it a few times and nothing happened) and is very durable and though it is VERY big, my sons use it all the time -- so it was definitely worth the $$$$$

You can't lose with Fisher -Price
We bought this for my 7 year old who is a big enthusiast of Rescue Heroes. It's terrific. Definitely worth every penney. He plays with it almost daily and my 3 year old daughter loves it as well. It's very sturdy and easy to assemble.

Really fun toy for 4 years and older
Summary:Kids love to play with it;Great toy for imaginative play;Assembly straight-forward;Decals more difficult to apply;Sturdy and durable.Review:Our 4 year old boy, and 5 year old girl love to play with this toy for hours on end.It was fairly easy to assemble, but has more pieces to put together than most toys; so it took a little longer. The pieces fit together well, and the instructions were clearly illustrated. The decals were more frustrating, the instructions missed a few decal numbers / locations, so we had to guess. It is durable, is able to "crash" well, and have rescue heros "jump" all over it.It's a fairly large toy, with many littel nooks and crannies for the action heros to play in.That, and it's sophisticated details support really imaginative play.Price:I guess I have turned into my father: It seems a bit pricy for a bunch of plastic parts! It is worth the price, but for the price, one could combine the purchase of several other toys, instead. But, it does seem worth the price and have good play value for the money.Age Appropriateness:I think 4 years old is probably the youngest age for this child. There are a lot of other really good toys, that are less expensive and support more age appropriate play if your child is younger.

My son's favorite toy!
My son got one Rescue Hero figure for Christmas '02 and now here in March '03 we have more than 20 figures, at least 6 vehicles, and now two command ceters. You have to give crdit to Fisher-Price for well placed commercials in the free videos that come with many of the figures. That said, my son absolutely loves the Aquatic Rescue Command Center. He has done nothing but play with it since I took it out of the box. I don't know how educational it is, but I love the fact that it is non-violent and it is too big for him to drag from room to room, as he does with many other toys. If your child is a Rescue Hero's fan, then this is a great addition to any collection, but you really must have the Voice Tech style figures to make it fun. All that said, I think the price is really too high, but I got an incedible deal on the one I bought so it was a no brainer. (I'd tell you how much, but you wouldn't believe me.)... It is a large toy, so keep that in mind if you have any space restraints.

Make your lil Rescue Hero Happy : )
I purchased this item, for my 5 year old son at Christmas last year. This a GREAT way for your Rescue Hero to add adventure and fun using his imagination. The never ending rescue, "How will they rescue the next person trapped...??" "Here comes the Rescue Heroes" (catchy song). Though this is a great gift for any 5 year old be prepared for the endless mess that seems to happen. My son insists on making a "Terrible Disaster" for the Rescue Heroes to come and help rescue the victim from..... you soon understand that this is a Base/Home for the Rescue Heroes and the adventures are taken place somewhere else. The Rescue Hero Vehicles are also GREAT. Before purchasing realize that this is a "BIG" toy and make sure his room has the space for it. We like to take it to the Living Room to give him the space needed to play with it. Though the price is high he will love it, and if Target, Wal-Mart has it cheaper, than go for it. I am a huge fan of the Resue Heroes, I think they are wonderful toys for the lil man in your life.

Land yacht, it's huge!
We bought this for our son who just turned 4. He has been dying for this toy, since Christmas. I waited until I got it on sale for $, and I was glad I waited. It is way over-priced. This toy is so much better than the other command center. It has so much more to do. My son got this a few weeks ago, and hasn't stopped playing with it, like he did the with the other command center (older version), which fell apart fast. This one is durable, but the elevator has to be moved manually, and he has a hard time using that. The features are entertaining for him. It talks, with Warren Waters voice as he announces earthquakes, and fires. It comes with a killer whale that can be hoisted up with a platform. He loved the part that shoots the water rescue floaters out to sea. It even has a landing pad for the helicopter, and airplane. This item is very big, and takes up a lot of space, but he loves it, and that's all that matters. I am glad that we got this for him, but shop around for a cheaper price, you'll be glad you did.
