Sunlite Street S-5/6 Recreational Tire

It may be my bike's rim but... I've blown the bead off 2 tires now. I pulled my old Schwinn 10 speed out of storage to use at college and after doing to research I opted to buy these because of one the reviews on this tire talking about older Schwinn bikes because I'm pretty sure my bike is also a Schwinn Caliente as well. (no stickers)The first one may have been my fault, I think... The rim on my Schwinn did have some dinged spots but nothing too bad. I was running the rear at ~60psi but the tire says its good to 90psi. And after about 100yrds the rear tire's bead gave way and blew the tire and inner tube. The bead was still inside the rim.After the first one blew I spent some more time straighten the rim and massaging out some of the dents. I still don't think they caused any issues but they now have new spokes and run really true. I dropped the tire pressure to around 35PSI for about 3 months and maybe 200miles? Then one day out of no where the replacement rear tire blew again. Same exact failure with the bead still inside the rim. I was using the bike for city riding to and from my apartment to campus ~4miles each day.I did notice you have to be careful how you mount these tires, if you don't take your time when mounting these tire they would not seat quite right and there would be a bulge one side and low stop on the other.I've considered buying more of these tires but I'm not sure it's worth the hassle or money because ever blown tires is about $30 I may as well buy a new bike that has a more current tire size.

Even though the tire was labelled as a 24", it didn't fit my 24" rim. Obviously it was a 26". Luckily, I had another tire laying around so it wasn't a problem except I'm out a few $. I didn't ask for a refund because it's not worth the trouble lately. Both Amazon & eBay have recently been a problem as far as refunds are concerned. Gosh, I guess the firms don't make enough money. I'm ordering only because the product isn't available locally, but if I have a choice between online and local, I know where I'm going from now on.

These tires fit a 1971 Schwinn Breeze 3 speed. Remember Schwinn tires are proprietary, check the tire size before ordering
