The clearances are wrong, the valve should be pushed open when the Acme nut is tight, it isn't. Won't let gas by the valve. I put one very thin washer in an it would work, but this is just wrong. dont buy it

Does not work!
Threads too thick. Attached hose only goes 3/4 turn and stops, does not contact spring-loaded center that causes gas to flow. Same hose on grill tank works just fine, it goes on 1 and 1/2 turns. Looking at same male threads on propane tank, they look significantly thinner, as should be on this fitting but isn't. Don't buy this except for a paperweight.
