Its surprised me but seem a good strong durable paint needs a couple of coats

Arrived on time & a lovely colour. I used this to upcycle a chest of drawers which were over 50 years old. Great result!

Although I bought this product locally, because I needed it immediately, I’d just like to say that this paint is absolutely excellent!I decided to buy this, after having previously worked on a disastrous test piece using a different brand’s paint system (Rustoleum chalk paint sealed with Rustoleum lacquer, as described in my other Amazon review of the lacquer).This Ronseal chalky paint is extremely easy to use. It dries to a lovely, even finish and it’s also durable. It’s labour saving, as it only requires 2 coats and it already has a sealant in the paint, so it doesn’t require any top coats of lacquer, or buffing with sealant wax. It’s nothing like other powdery chalk paints; it’s so much better 😊As with most paints, you must ensure that you mix it very thoroughly before you start. I left the sealed tin upside down for half an hour, before opening to stir it, and this helped to disperse the pigments more easily.The paint dries fairly quickly, but not so fast that it starts to clog if you overwork it; it does give you enough time to blend over areas evenly as you go. Once dry, it feels smooth to the touch but not harsh at all, despite being a tough paint that will withstand knocks and resist scuffs.This paint made the job very easy, with excellent results for not too much effort.The shade, English Rose, is a very subtle pink; a pretty colour.I highly recommend Ronseal Chalky Furniture Paint.
