Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Giant Mechanized Shark Nemesis Play Set with Two Monster Trucks

Super hotwheels set fot the kids, lots of fun and action for what is a well made and exciting set to add to your collection. There are two monster trucks provided, a nice metal truck and a plastic (I guess) second rate truck which is basically the one you want the shark to get. For us adults, the best bit is it doesn't require batteries and there are no blinking lights or repeating noises. All in all its a really good play set either as a standalone or to connect to others.

Great toy for a monster truck fan

We have a lot of Monster Jam toys, it’s great to see more being made for the UK! This set is great fun but not something that kept my sons attention for more than 10 mins. It’s repetitive and gets abit boring. The shark doesn’t always get set off by the middle section, so has to be forced, but great addition to just the monster trucks and sand arena. My sons likes that it can include the hot wheels cars too!

Bought this for my monster truck mad grandson for his birthday he was delighted with it and enjoys playing with it

I like Hot Wheels and I have lots of good experiences with other products but this was a bit disappointing. It is quite well made and fairly sturdy as this is toy that is going to have quite a lot of bashing about. If you read the instructions then it is not too difficult to put together although when children open their presents they rarely give you time to do this and you can probably work it out. I thought that it was going to be great, it has the sharks and launches the monster trucks but the actual play is disappointing and my Nephew was soon bored of it. I am not quite sure what it needs. The regular tracks which leave more the the imagination get much more play and the same with the looping tracks. For some reason this just doesn't work in getting their attention.

Great addition to grandsons hot wheel collection

They spent about twenty minutes watching me set it up (the build takes about five minutes to ten minutes, the rest is applying the bloomin stickers)And then the next hour playing. They found it thrilling.They fought over the two supplied monster trucks. Admittedly, one is considerably less cool. One is die cast and one is plasticky.The game requires patience, skill and determination. My youngest enjoyed it but wasn't successful. My five year old got it with practice.Basically they have to shoot their monster truck into the arena off a ramp. The monster truck has to land on a button in the centre. That one wins and as the second monster truck hasn't got there it falls into the pit. The button simultaneously is pushed by the winning truck sets off the shark that swipes round and knocks the loser round and out the arena. (See video).The build itself is fairly simple made more complicated by the poor instructions. Black and white photographs and small text. (In order to fit in 19 other translations in a small space). The design is click into place. I think once there in it is difficult to remove them. The worse part was the stickers. I struggled to get it lined up on some occasions. And messed up a bit.The arena is well made. Robust plastic.The loss of the star reflects the annoying sticker application and also the two monster trucks being different quality.Please check out the video for a full review.
