Product Description Monster Home Theatre Reference HTS 2600 MKII PowerCenter with Clean Power Stage 2 v.2.1 10 .com The fact is, analog audio equipment is sensitive to a different type of noise than video, just as video is sensitive to a different type of noise than digital, and so on. In the past, manufacturers have used filters to combat the problem of noise introduced via power sources. Unfortunately, the filters were not optimized to attenuate at the different frequencies that are unique to digital, analog audio, and video realms. Products that managed to deliver truly cleaner AC power were thousands of dollars in price, out of reach for most people. Enter Head Monster Noel Lee. An uncompromising audiophile, Lee joined forces with Richard Marsh, the worlds foremost expert on AC power, to develop affordable solutions to AC power problems. The result? Monster Clean Power. More Than Just Surge! -Monster Clean Power The following overviews of Monsters isolated, specially tuned Clean Power filters demonstrate the methodology behind Clean Powers development. The higher the Clean Power stage, the more advanced the noise filtration. The more advanced the noise filtration, the higher the level of component-to-component isolation. Isolated Clean Power Digital Filters Optimized to reduce noise generated by digital equipment digital filters isolate digital components from connected analog audio and video components for maximum rejection of interference. Isolated Clean Power Video Filters Optimized to reduce noise generated by video equipment, video filters isolate video components from connected digital and analog audio components for maximum rejection of interference. Isolated Clean Power Analog Audio Filters Optimized to provide maximum noise rejection for sensitive analog audio components, audio filters isolates audio components from connected digital and video components for maximum rejection of interference. Isolated Clean Power Ultra-High Current Filter Optimized for maximum noise rejection, ultra-high current filters provide maximum current to high power components such as surround sound amplifiers. Reference Home Theater Power Monster PowerCenters also offer the most comprehensive home theater system protection available, featuring higher joule ratings for faster acting, full capacity surge protection. Monsters Multiple SurgeGuard and Tri-Mode Circuitry instantly detects any voltage surge or spike and immediately suppresses it before it can reach your components. And, for your total peace of mind, the latest generation of Monster Home Theatre Reference PowerCenters come with higher Connected Equipment Guarantees (CEGs). Unlike other surge protectors, the PowerCenters ultra low-loss RF circuitry provides maximum protection with virtually no signal loss, especially important with the advent of HDTV. In addition, all PowerCenters display current draw and voltage. Monster recognizes that convenience is vital, too. The PowerCenters feature component-assigned color coding with matching power cord labels for easy identification, and all are rack mountable, for easy integration into custom installed rack mount systems. waste of money
I've always thought Monster products were snake oil, now I'm sure.I'd been reading about the value of isolating the incoming power for digital and analog components in high end audio. With around $6K in my audio system, I thought this would be a relatively cheap experiment - and at the very least good surge protection.Wrong.First, I could see/hear no difference with everything plugged into it. Nothing. Even the faint 60Hz hum one of my subwoofer amps produces was still there. So much for conditioning power...More important: the first (and only) time I powered it up remotely from my preamp (using the correct trigger ports) my power amp's right channel fried. That amp has always been remotely powered up through the preamp trigger before without any problems.I don't know how good this thing is at stopping surges, but it's awesome at creating them. Maybe my amp picked that one time to be defective, but I don't think so. And it had to be replaced (not just a fuse). Here's a positive note: This thing has a nice case, looks really impressive in the rack...even with nothing plugged into it.

Great product great price!
As a Cedia electrician i see panamax, and tripplite a lot most custom guys bash monster so they can sell their own stuff. This product while a last gen model is well worth it if you have a basic media center. For higher end say 15k or higher i might want one that shows exact voltage. but this unit serves its purpase well. its an attractive piece, easy to set up, cord is quite long and the color coding labels included are nice. I have about 10k worth of equipment in my entertainment center and couldnt be happier with this unit, its noise level reduction is just as good as the panamax 5100 i have in the living room at less money.

bought on Amazon for $139.99, now it is $245 price seems to go up and down. I guess I got a great deal also only paid $7 to ship!!!looks great, power cord is heavy duty, unit seems very well built could not be more happy. Don't quite know why is has a power button on the front, I guess so you can turn every thing off during a power outage or an electrical storm.Samsung 61" LED DLP TVDVRPanasonic Blu rayYamaha HTR-5460 (would not recomend soon to be replaced)Klipsch referance speakers

A Monster of A Workhorse! (2nd review)
I have written a review for this product (about a few months ago) but it appears to be lost ... let's hope this post sticks. This Monster Power takes the spikes and neutralizes them! We often (in BKLYN) get current spikes (without any natural disasters!).This is a great investment for any electronical devices.A neat feature is the additional power amp to connect devices like a vacuum cleaner. The soft-button control turns on/off for additional wattage.

Decent, for the money
This is a nice conditioner. The back of the unit has labeled plugs as most Monster products do. It included a decal sheet to label the component cords for identification. However it did not include rack ears, as the manual indicated. All in all, a good buy.

Yes it makes a difference.
This product does make a difference. I notice a slight increase in picture quality and the difference in audio is really noticeable. Now I have a better home theatre system and a really neat looking surge protector. I would recommend this product to everybody who is in the market for a surge protector. I have this hooked up to a Samsung 120hz 1080p LCD tv, Velodyne Sub CH-T8, Yamaha Rx-V663, PS3, XboX360, and Cable box.
