The wide angle works, but it significantly downgrades the quality of my video. Not worth buying - spend the money for a better lens.

As soon as the conversion lens arrived, I attached the adapter ring and installed it on my Sony DCR-HC32 camcorder and put it to work.I shoot in the 16:9 video format.The images obtained using this lens were bright and clear and covered a significantly wider horizontal field than the unmodified standard lens. I am well pleased with the quality of this economically priced accessory.

good price for a nice lens. you can notice the difference right away. straight edges such as a door frame or corner of a wall can seem to curve alittle at times but not overly noticable. cant beat it for that price.

I received the lense within a reasonable time. The lense has a wider view, though I don't have other lenses to test it against. The lense came with the adapter necessary for my Sony camera and everything fit together just fine. Overall I am very satisfied and if I had to decide again I would by the same lense.
