awesome product. now discontinued it seems and at closeout prices, these are a steal for anything around 50 bucks or a bit more. easily worth up to a hundred. they are genuine unlined leather of decent thickness, and pretty to boot (sorry). I'm in between 9 and 9.5 in athletic shoes and had to go with the 9 for a somewhat sloppy fit, now fixed with some decent aftermarket insoles (normally size down a half to full size on boot sizing) 8.5 was close but steel toe a little too snug. gorgeous leather and easy to get on and off

These boots fit well and are comfortable with one exception: The top opening is a bit too small. It is a bit harder to get in and out of them than I would prefer. But the real problem I have is the top of the boot chafes the front of my leg. After wearing them all day, I had raw sores on my legs. I had to tape gauze pads on my legs to protect them so I could keep wearing these boots. I've been wearing wellington boots for years and never had this problem before. If I hadn't worn them in the mud for several hours already, I would send them back. As it is, I will either have to keep using my gauze pads or slit the front of the boot open a bit to reduce the chafing. Too bad. Great boot, otherwise.UPDATE: After wearing these boots for a week they no longer chafe the front of my legs. Just needed a little break-in time. I'm upgrading them to 4 stars.

This is definitely a GREAT pair of safety boots. Luckily for me I read ALL the relevant reviews regarding size when ordering and was able to deduce that the boots run just about one size too big. therefore if your boot size is usually US7......then more than likely you'll have to order a size US6.- just one size smaller. I had to return these 3x for my husband. He absolutely loves them but they must run very large. He normally wears a size 10.5 and the 3rd time we went to a size 9 and they fit perfect. This last pair look like they have been worn or rubbed on parts of the leather. He didn't think it was worth returning again just for that since he is a farmer/rancher and these boots won't stay clean for long anyway.

I wear a 12D(M), when they arrived, they seemed one size too large. I decided to return them but not seek a replacement.As a roughneck in the soil boring field, I tuck my pants into the boot to keep my pants dry. The upper portion is way to soft for that in my opinion and wanted to collapse downward. I prefer a stiffer upper portion. Switching to the Caterpillar Men's Edgework Pull-On instead.

I read the reviews but had a hard time believing they could be that far off on the size scale so I ordered a pair 1/2 size smaller then I usually wear and when they arrived I slipped my sock covered foot in to find them huge I could have ordered another size smaller and still they would have been big. I felt like I was Hermon Munster in them. I'm sending them back and looking for something else.

I purchased these back in 2013 and I'm still wearing them today. At first I was a bit disappointed because these boots did not seem to fit very well. Fast forward 6 years with periodic use along the way and I would rather wear these over my casual sneakers each day. They have sculpted to my foot and I'm able to walk around/climb ladders 10+ hours a day and my feet feel amazing at the end of the day. Give them a try!

Well made good materials, fit is terrible. Had to wear for work otherwise I would have returned. Innersoles and two pair of socks made them wearable. I figured for the price there was a problem. As I said needed them for work
