Great price for really nice burled walnut pen blanks
These were really nice pen blanks with turned into beautiful pens. Sized as advertised and well figured. Sometime when pen blanks are advertised as “well figured” many if not all are not.

Definitely figured, not much burl
Bought these to make a commissioned pen, I would agree the wood is all figured, but it's not much in the way of burl. Not disappointed, but not thrilled.

Very satisfied. Very nicely figured
Bought this product 4 times and am very happy with the quality and very nice figuring. Makes beautiful pens.

Breathtaking grain patterns
Every blank was the same size and the grain on (at least my batch) is really beautiful. The grain is criss cross so it looks like natural checkering. The darkness of the wood after the oil makes it look like "Tiger eye"

was a very nice figured burl
I needed some fancier walnut for some fountain pens, plus a steam punk and this fits the bill nicely

Quality control?
I realize that burl is flaky wood and it gets punky. But that is why I order it and try not to stabalize my own. I would rather be turning out pens and leave the blank prep to the pros. I'm always looking for a company I can depend on for solid blanks. I ordered 5 got 4 ok to so-so, and one a no-no. Not worth the postage and hastle to return so I'll eat it. Not sure if I will try again, but everyone deserves a second chance, especially when it comes to burl walnut. Most likely just a bad quality control day.
