MAKE SURE YOU SEAT THIS TO THE LEVEL OF YOUR BROKEN PIECE
NOTE: If you get this, make sure you ream out (if necessary) the opening so that the cylinder rod sinks in at the SAME POINT of the plastic eyelet. If you don't you will increase the travel length of the rod you are depressing, which can wreck your whole clutch master cylinder.I have a 2006 S197 mustang. My piece didnt initially cover the cylinder rod. With a small round dremel bit (or hand file), I slightly reamed the opening. My replacement eyelet then slipped on, but there was still some gripped burl section that was exposed underneath the replacement eyelet. You NEED to remove the eyelet, ream out some more, so that the cylinder rod seats fully and pushes against the very back of the internal eyelet opening space. No burled section of the cylinder rod should be seen!I had my car towed to a nearby shop on a Friday. Ordered this, got it it on Sunday, installed it on my car in the parking lot, and drove home. Saved myself a $700 clutch master cylinder replacement! With some basic modification (reaming out a little bit of soft aluminum), this part is functional.I suspect the small threaded lock hex bolt will be the weak part of this system. It was tiny, hard to tighten hard, and will likely become loose. BUT, this part is a great replacement for what should have been metal in the first place.

FITS RIGHT W/O MODIFYING
2006 Mustang GT. Despite several reviews to the contrary, the eyelet fits as intended, without having to drill out the shaft for the clutch piston. But, (there’s always a but) the vertical walls of the eyelet are extremely thin. They’re thinner than a dime (see photo). If the shaft needs to be drilled, I advise not to go larger than a 1/64th increase. However, except for holding the set screw, they’re not under structural stress.

A must have Mustang owner
If you own a 06 to 14 mustang with stick you need one in the clove box and make sure you have a 2 mm allen wrench.

it fixed the issue and works great
works great, but didn't fit down as far on the shaft as the original. it reattached the clutch rod to the cluch pedal where the stock cheep plastic eye end snapped in half. great fix for my mustang and works perfectly.

Simple and effective
I bought this for my 06 mustang and it was pretty easy to replace, you will need an Alan wrench to tighten the piece. Idk if i sit to close to the wheel but at times i can still hear the tensioner grinding.... so i'll have to look into it.

Awesome product!
Worked perfectly for my 2005 Ford Mustang GT 5-speed. I first thought I was having g clutch issues but turned out my factory plastic had been formed into an oval shape. This fixed my issue and started engaging and disengaging my clutch properly.

Old School craftsmanship as it’s finest
Amazing item. Saved over 100 bucks, and the hassle of changing the clutch Master Cyl. 10 min fix. I used a bit of loc-tite just to be safe. One of the few times the repair is really better than the original. Glad to see there are still true craftsmen out there. I’m really surprised that given the number of reported failures of the factory plastic fitting, that this is not available at parts stores. Glad I checked here. Mine broke at work, I was able to fix in the parking lot with minimal tools. Back on the street in 24 hrs for 16 dollars.

It works.
Very thin side walls and the hole is small. You may have to shave off the shaft to fit.
