Side Chic 5: (Another Ratchet Mess) Paperback – Large Print, May 9, 2014

For some odd reason everybody in this book forgives too damn easy. I didn't like Lala so I didn't care what happened to her. I was team Kisha, I still feel bad for her because I've seen alot of growth in her just for unfortunate things to keep happening to her. I feel like you would never know that were together 7, 8 years. The side chic was made out to be the angel as if Kisha was wrong for being mad. That's something that'll take yearsss to get over. Tre still is selfish as all hell. Anyway La'Tonya is a wonderful author I just don't like alot of her characters they aggravate the hell out of me.

Whyyyyyy you kill my girl? Lala made the book more interesting because kisha just rocked my nerves. Like why would she show up at that girl furneral at all. Tre parents where they to console him. Tre lived lala more than he wanted to admit because after her death it really showed. I hope mina get herself together cause mello almost killed her. Kisha needs a reality check cause their is something seriously wrong with her and Tre don't need to try to date no once else from his hometown cause it's gone be some drama. Over all this was a good series

I loved this series...this last one was good I loved all the emotion in all the characters... I just didn't like the way it ended. I just wish I could have know more about what kisha ended up doing....She went thru so much I really wanted to read more about her ending, it just left me wondering... That's why I'm giving the 4 stars ..otherwise the drama in this book is real and it is a page turner ...great job!

I love everything about how Author West tied all the characters from book 1 through the finale. Yes like others I hate to see this series end but all good things comes to an end........yes this was a great series. Sorry Lala didn't make it to the end but I'm glad Tre came into his manhood, as well to see he moved on with a new lady, NO KISHA!!!!. I can't wait to see how it will turn out. Great Job Author La'Tonya West. Keep the great work up.

It was not as great as the others, but it's still worth reading. I've purchased Crazy in Luv and Crazy in Luv 2. I want more of Tre and his new endeavors. Anyway, this read was sad and even though, I'm not a fan of side chics, I was team Lala. I would have liked an update on Lala's friend Nisey and the pedophile, Reggie.I will continue to purchase Ms. West books because she kept my interest.

I really liked this. It took LaLa dying for Tee to realize the way he treated her was wrong and to figure out an loved him unconditionally through the good and the bad times. But I felt bad for Tee, believing your the cause of someones death and having that eat at your conscious has to be one of the worst feelings ever. To lose two people that you love at once... I couldn't handle it. But I'm glad Tre finally grew up, even though it took something tragic to happen.

I wasn't too happy with the ending of part four of the Side Chic series. Nonetheless , I still wanted to see what happened in the Boykins following the death of Lala. Part Five picks up with Tre grieving over the loss of Lala and Tyson. It is now that Tre realizes how much he truly loved Lala and how badly he treated her. All these emotions really puts Tre in a dark place . As Tre struggles to do right by family , he realizes he wants a fresh start and wants to leave Boykins. But his past won't let him go especially Kisha. Even though Kisha has moved on , her feelings for Tre will always make her feel stuck. Moving on is never easy as rest of other Boykin's characters soon realize. Mina near death experience will leave some deep rooted scars. Nelle struggles to live without Corey and others find themselves miserable and alone. Overall, the book was ok and please work on the editing.

La'Tonya West you did your thing with the finale to this series. I love the way you matured the characters. The emotion was deeply felt. I was mad when the book ended. Even though LaLa was killed off. I love the way Tre was able to finally be open about his feelings for LaLa. Keisha on the other hand needs to let Tre go for good. I love the new beginning for Tre but I know the ratchetness is far from over. Keep the good reads coming. CIL3 yayy

Ms West knows to keep you entertained and wanting more ..I've read all 5 books (SC1-5) in 2 weeks my only critique is whoever proofread her material should be a tad bit more vigilant ...as in one instance allowed was used instead of allowed and another where Mia is referred to as Mina. Additionally, the ending of part 4 was better to close the series, however, I'm looking forward to reading more of her books.

Read all five Side Chic books whilst on holiday, real good read, although by the end I was getting bit tired of Tre attempting to learn his mistakes and move on only to get himself in to another mishap with negative implications

This is a one of the best books in the series.. I thought after number 4 wha is there to say... Will there is alot to say... This book has you reading n reading until the very last page.

I don't want to put down my black authors so I won't say much. But I dnt think this is a man's book

I enjoyed the 1st half of this book but find the ending was rushed. It was a let down as I enjoyed the last 4 books
