SNES Game Saver Plus

The game saver does exactly what it says: press select + R at any point to save your current game state and select + L to return to it at any point. It even keeps the music going, so you can listen to a full track while practicing a difficult part of the game! (That has more to do with the SNES hardware, though). It also has the bonus of letting you play Super Famicom games on your Super Nintendo. Very useful if you have the smaller version of the console that is a pain to mod. First of all, this is a game saver, not a game saver PLUS.Second, this product simply did not work. I hope it was just the one I got. I am attempting to return it but the seller has not gotten back to me yet about it.I purchased to help practice some speedrun tricks and I was shocked to find this product did not work.

I would say that this is a nice product, if I received the product I thought I ordered.I was inclined to believe that this was the Super Nintendo SNES Game Saver + , as stated in thename and product information. The item I got was just the SNES game saver, not the one mentioned, which has a different look and a cable that plugs into thesnes.Its an okay product, but I was it was more clear that they give the SNES Game Saver and NOT the GAMES SAVER PLUS.

Its not a Nintendo Brand and are no Manuals too see how works but its perfect if you Have a Super Famicom (SFC) Japan Version of the Super Nintendo (SNES) and you wanna play the SNES Games (american Version ) on you Super Famicom Japanesse Console, and also you can save your games better than ever

The thing works as advertised and even lets me play imported games without modding my SNES. It doesn't let me use savestates in Megaman x2 even though the review with the code list has a code for it. If you're buying it solely for games with special sound chips you might want to reconsider.

Interesting product by Nintendo. The instructions giving were in Japanese so it took me awhile to figure out how to properly set it up. NO BATTERIES NEEDED! Once set up, most games will work on this Game Saver. While playing the game you can save your progress at anytime but it can store up to one time per gaming session while you can load the previous save progress as many times as you want. In short, this game saver is only good for practicing/perfecting a level to your favorite video game. Or you can use this to beat a game if the game is too difficult which also ruins the experience playing a game through.

The GS+ will perform magnificently for its intended purpose, which includes a 'bonus' feature of sorts, i.e., when utilized in conjunction with a properly modified Retro-bit RetroPort adapter it can actually save NES games as well. Tip: save your games with console power, store the save with battery power. This technique will prolong battery life substantially - use of rechargeable batteries is recommended. Note: this device can be somewhat tricky to use without the OEM directions originally included in 1994, oh well ...

It works great with my .jp cart of A link to the Past with SupaBoy (which can play Super Famicon). It' just not a miracle worker. It didn't work when I tested the .jp cart with my regular SNES, not did I really expect it to.So many of us are getting this for speedrun practice, so if you buy this, make sure you have a console that matches the cartridge you're playing on.
