La Petite Creme - Organic French Diapering (Starter Kit with Cotton Pads) - USDA Certified Organic

I thought this would be easier to use with cloth diapers than wet wipes. With wet wipes, you have to have a spray bottle or foam bottle or wipes warmer. The solution or the wipes or the warmer can get moldy or mildewy. Yup, been there with 5 kids.I was fascinated with the dry wiping, because it is true that wet wipes can chafe and irritate, and it is SO hard to get baby REALLY dry before the next diaper goes on. Also, my babies have all hated cold wet wipes, cloth or disposable, but the wipes warmer can get smelly or dry the wipes out or leak, and I always get behind refilling it, especially with cloth wipes.I got the set with the disposable pads because we already have a supply of gorgeous cloth wipes, and I planned to use the pads during the early days when we were using disposable diapers. The cotton pads are too big in our opinion, so we cut them in half. Also, I wanted the tiny bottle for my diaper bag.My husband has to fight the urge to use WAY too much of this (easier for him when I told him how much it costs!!!). However, as picky as he is about baby stuff, he prefers this lotion over wet wipes.I am glad I got the small pump bottle, because the pump is convenient. Then I realized I could have just put a pump on the larger, more economical bottle. O well. I like this set, and it lasted a long time. I was annoyed with wet wipes after getting used to this! We often use 1 cloth wipe to clean her, then just a dab of this on another wipe to finish it off. Her skin looks amazing. I am using it for my face as moisturizer- also amazing.I must admit, I looked up a recipe and actually made some of this stuff myself. The main reason is that I wanted a nice smell. I added essential oils to mine. This stuff is pretty olive oil scented. I will keep buying this, because it is convenient and effective, but I will probably make a few more batches, too, since it is a fun recipe and I am thrifty.In all, I would highly recommend this clean, natural, organic product over even the "natural" disposable wet wipes out there. (Water Wipes- they don't grab ANYTHING... so annoying... and everything else has chemicals, regardless of their claims.) Dry wipes are easy and better for baby's skin. It also works out well price wise, because this bottle lasts forever if you are not overdoing it at every change. (You get the feel for it quickly.) I also recommend it over wet wiping for cloth wipes because it is easier, better for baby's skin, and you will never have any funky smells or run out or whatnot.

As everyone was loading-up on boxes-and-boxes of baby wipes during Covid-19, we were not sweating it since we found La Petite Creme. La Petite Creme is an amazing, organic alternative to baby wipes. Our little one has extremely sensitive skin. Even Water Wipes caused an issue. La Petite Creme has not only saved us from worry during everyone hoarding the baby wipes at stores but also not having to worry about our little one suffering skin sensitivity issues during diapering. No parabens, no mineral oil/talc etc.,---just simple ingredients that protect our little one between each diaper change. We cannot thank La Petite Creme enough for such a great product for our little one!

I guess the product does what it claims to do. Cleans without water or wet wipe. Don’t know if it really prevents diaper rash, didn’t use it long enough to find out. You still need to have a dry wipe or cloth to clean. I find that it requires me to use both hands to apply the product. Not a good idea when you have a poopy diaper and a wiggling baby. I like to keep one hand on the baby as I use the other hand to reach, clean, and toss. It’s a process to this thing called diapering and this product doesn’t make it any easier.

Does it work? Yes. It’s inconvenient though. You can’t use the pump on the bottle with one hand, or it falls over. The wipes are linty so you end up having to pick fuzz off baby’s butt. And if you’re in a hurry? Skip it altogether and use a regular wipe. The process is too long. A poopy diaper? FORGET IT. It takes poop off like a dream but you’ll waste those small little cotton pads. There’s a reason baby wipes are big: you need that surface area! The smell is a little weird but not unbearable. I just use it as diaper rash cream now so I’ll use it up but I won’t buy it again. Good idea in theory, but in practice, it’s more trouble than it’s worth.

I have seen this product advertised on social media, and after some research I decided to give it a try. This is the best pack for getting started!We began using this product after our daughter’s first round of diaper rash, and our disappointment with the different creams we had used. This makes her little bum very soft, hydrated, and we haven’t had the first bit of redness or irritation since. Another bonus is that nothing sticks to her. Just a quick gentle wipe and she is perfectly clean again.We have already reordered a subscription for the refills and will not be going back to wipes.

At first when I ordered I thought it was 2 different natural products to clean and treat diaper rash. When I received it I realized it was 2 bottles of the same thing, one big bottle with a pump and a small bottle one (with shape of those (big) hand sanitizer you can hang in your purse) and a pack of cotton pads you can buy for a couple bucks in any pharmacy store.First thing that came to my mind when I thought of using this product on the daily basis was that I could buy a thermo bottle to carry warm water and use it with the cheap cotton pads (most natural way to wipe my baby's bottom and spend a lot less money)I honestly don't see any advantage on it, compared to the price.The package/label looks like something homemade and didn't give me the impression of something that would really work.Because of that I decided to return the product whitout even using it.It could works miraculously but my first impression wasn't all that.

This took any redness away!!The cotton pads that come with it are nice, but for us, they always tear apart... I go to reach in for one and half of it comes... it’s like it’s double ply and only the top layer comes off..? I just fold that in half to avoid any little fuzzies staying on my baby.I would definitely buy this again!
