South Shore Gloria Platform Bed, Queen 60-Inch, Chocolate

Overall this bed frame was better than expected. The package was extremely heavy so you might want to have someone help you get it inside. I was able to get it put together in about 2 and a half hours.The assembly would have gone faster if there were predrilled holes. It was a serious struggle getting some of the screws in. That being said, I was able to get the job done with just a screwdriver and supplied materials.My biggest complain is that there are no holes to match it up with the South Shore headboards, or any headboard for that matter, and attaching two big pieces of furniture together by yourself is hard enough without having to fight to get the screws in without a drill.All in all, still loving my new bed :)EDIT: Tonight would have been the 6th night I've slept in this bed, if it hadn't broke! Three of the plastic wedges that hold the wooden slats in just snapped! This bed is suppose to hold 500lbs according to the description, I did the math: myself + my 7 year old daughter + my mattress = 200lbs less than the max weight. I repaired it the best I could for the time being but am highly considering returning it. I am extremely disappointed!

absolutely the creakiest frame I've ever had. It was also missing a piece from the manufacturer, but that doesn't seem to matter much. The real problem is if I move an inch, something squeaks or creaks. It's just wood screwed to wood. I've had it for 3 months and one of the wood slats already snapped under weight of two people. DO NOT BUY. WASTE OF MONEY. I'm seeking a refund.

When I took the pieces out of the box two of the platform boards were cracked pretty badly in the corners. Putting this thing together wasn’t a walk in the park. We had to borrow my roommates power tools and pre drill holes for the screws. I’ve had the bed for about a month or so now and I didn’t have any problems until today.. One of the support beams that does not have a leg came out of the plastic cradle and fell to the floor. They aren’t long enough to fit all the way across on both sides of the bed. The platform boards don’t fit on the frame either. There’s about two inches of space between each board. It’s an ok bed frame just a little scary when the support beams fall out and the assembly is rough if you don’t have the proper tools.

Have only had a couple months and it's already messed up. The boards are not sturdy and have a bend in them. Every squeaks, plastic holder are not durable, it's very wiggly due to faulty hardware. I thought it would more durable and I get a few years out of it but it's just junk. Not worth the money and kind of want a refund on the bed.

Not worth it. Its not as strong lasted me 3 months.Looks good for a display and non long term use.Better for a show room or guest room.Still sad that it failed to last

It doesn't hold up well! I wouldn't buy it again. I'm looking for a new bed frame

This bedframe was easy to put together. All I needed was a Phillips and flathead screwdriver. It holds a mattress just fine, but it is loud and creaky, even with all the screws and everything screwed really tight. Maybe a decent frame for your spare bedroom but not for your own bedroom. It also doesn't come with a headboard, you have to buy that seperatly.

Though this was really easy to assemble.. it ultimately isn't worth the money, just rolling over in the bed would cause the bed to creak horribly. Which with a new baby, isn't great, EVERY time we would cautiously climb into bed it would creak up a storm and would wake up our baby. Don't matter if you just do a quick turn/jump into bed, or treat it like you are entering a minefield... the bed WILL creak and it won't be quiet about it.Also when my wife was getting out of the bed one of the horizontal slats literally fell out, she is a tiny lady (approx 49-52kg). I had to help her maneuver out of bed so I could fix it without it becoming more damaged.We are planning on just getting a basic box spring to put on the floor to replace this bedframe, at least with a box spring you won't have it fall apart beneath you.

At first d bed frame looked great bt after putting the bed together thinking my bed is set for me to sleep on, as soon has I sit on the bed planks under start falling down and each time I have to raise the whole mattress up to fix lt don't buy it's not worth it the stress is too much

Bed frame itself looks great and is easy to assemble. It matched all of our current furniture as well. Great frame for a decent price. Only down side is it can be a little creaky at times but nothing major. The construction of the bed frame though is very solid and fits a queen mattress perfectly.

Poor quality. Very cheaply made. Broke first day. Has very sharp edges and corners. I have gouged my shins several times... Peice of crap and it will be going in the garbage!!!

Little harder to put together than expected. Instructions could be better as well. End product looks great vs price. Never slept on it yet as it's for the guest room but looks to be fairly sturdy.

Love this!Like IKEA Furniture, South Shore takes a fair amount of time to install I've found. But the quality of the products is amazing, I have furnished both rooms in my apartment with their products and love it!

Very nice looking, there is slight flex/movement when moving around but pleased with product. Easy assembly

Assembly took about 1.5 hours for 2 people, but I love the bed, nice colour, exactly as the picture. The only thing I didn't like is that the base at the front is not screwed anywhere so it can open a bit on the sides but nothing to worry about

We are extremely pleased with this item. The delivery was quick, the item is very sturdy and the price was within our budget. As well, it perfectly matched our dresser and night table. What more can you ask for!

Easy to assemble if you are adept or skilled with this kind of assembly work.

The worst bed ever terrible product

Très beau mais pas très solide. Depuis que nous l'avons il a Du être réparer 2 fois puisque les traverse ne tenaient pas en place.

Looks fantastic! I was able to set it up myself in a couple of hours, would be helpful to have an extra hand. Feels solid, looks terrific, totally recommend!!!

Solid and a very nice looking piece of furniture. Colours are very nice. Good price.
