Designed by people with physical disabilities! If you use a wheelchair and have little or no upper body movement, with Drink-Aide you will be able to drink water independently. Drink-Aide consists of an insulated water bottle, a vibration resistant flexible drinking tube and a universal clamp. Straw length is 20" long. The universal clamp fastens the insulated water bottle to a wheelchair, bed or any other convenient location. This hands-free innovation allows a person with a disability to drink independently in the middle of the night, outdoors or even on the go. The Drink-Aid Water Bottle was designed, tested and produced by people with physical disabilities at Inglis House in Philadelphia, PA. Perhaps the greatest benefit of Drink-Aide is the freedom for a person with a disability to travel beyond a room or a building, and the freedom to socialize outside, especially during the summer. Available in BLACK only.

A disappointment
I was super excited to get this cup for my wheelchair-bound son. He sometimes has trouble staying hydrated because he wants to do everything on his own, even thought he can't. I saw this as a way for him to mantain his autonomy. However, the cup was a disappointment from the start.I'll admit, I chose this cup because it was the cheapest option that I could find, even though it still costed over 75 dollars. It arrived in the mail with a broken lid. I was upset that we couldn't use it immediately, but accidents happen in the mail, so I contacted the seller, and they quickly sent a new lid. I was happy with it for a few days, but after less than a week of careful use, the flimsy plastic lid broke in the same way the previous one had broken in the mail. By this time I was thoroughly disgusted with it, and contacted the seller again. This time, they did not respond. As we have repeatedly tried to contact them, they have never responded.I would not recommend this product as it is a cheap imitation and not worth the price at all.

Good cup/straw BAD service!
While the cup and straw are great inventions and quality the item didn’t come with the correct mounting hardware. After several communications back and forth - I have no longer heard from them and still do not have the correct mounting hardware. Unfortunately, the main company that makes these are no longer in business. So, if u can mount yourself with your own makeshift hardware good. If not- find something else. Especially for the price!!

Good product for wheel chair bound.
My Dad has MS and this turned out to be just what he needed for drinking without an aid present.

Get it cheaper via manufacturer
Haven't bought this product, but I can tell you that if you go to the drink-aide website, you can get it directly from the people at the assisted living facility who invented it for $48 plus $8 shipping. I've been looking for a cup that fosters independent drinking, a huge deal for quadriplegics. This is basically the only one out there that seems like it makes sense. Since it's designed by people who live and breathe this and other challenges every day, I'm going to give it a shot. It's incredibly pricey, but at least you can get it about $20 cheaper at the drink-aide dot com website. I think it's terrible that the third party distributor has boosted the price like this. Disabled people shouldn't have to pay top dollar just to get a drink of water.

We LOVE it! However
My son is in wheelchair and has used the Inglis Drink Aide cup for several years. We LOVE it! However, we also get it at a cheaper price on the Inglis website. The "straw" tubing can easily be replaced at your local hardware store as refrigerator tubing for much cheaper too.
