Very Comfortable Pillow But Take Great Care In Opening Its Plastic Packaging
This pillow comes in a very tightly wrapped heavy plastic film outer cover, with the pillow being rolled into a cylinder with all the air evacuated to make it compact for shipping (like most memory foam mattresses which are compressed and shipped in boxes much smaller than the mattress when it expands upon opening). This is OK, but in trying to cut the outer plastic open, to remove the pillow, one can accidentally cut the outer fabric on the pillow. So you need to be extremely careful in how you insert scissors or a knife to cut the plastic without harming the pillow itself. I recommend that you use one of those small rectangular envelope/letter openers which have a recessed blade, by first cutting a small hole at one end of the plastic and then gliding the razored envelope opener down the length of the plastic cover. As far as the pillow itself goes, upon first handling I was a bit skeptical because once the contents of the pillow decompressed from being vacuum packed/wrapped, the contents did not feel like they would fill the pillow cavity. What you have here, are medium size chunks of memory foam, loosely filled into the pillow. It reminded me of the "My Pillow" which is a sham when it comes to being worth anywhere near what Mike Lindell charges for his grossly over-rated pillows. I bought one of his at BB&B to try it out and found it to be nonsense when it comes to comfort. He also fills his pillow with chunks of foam, which are easily felt as chunks, when you lay your head down. After using My PIllow for about a week, I moved it to a guest bedroom and basically out of use. So, when I felt the same style of loose chunks of memory foam in this pillow, I feared the same result. However, the chunks of foam in this pillow are much more forgiving and do mold to the shape of you head and neck junction. One thing that I don't like about most memory foam pillows which are solid one piece foam, is that they can sometimes cause your neck to be strained and placed into an uncomfortable position. This pillow does not do that, because of the looseness of the fill. Your head is allowed to sink just about right into the center of the pillow, allowing your neck to stay aligned in a natural position. So overall, I give it fairly high marks, with my only wish being that it might have a bit more in the way of chunks of memory foam inside the pillow to fill it out a bit more. For many years of have slept on feather down pillows which are the ultimate in comfort. But they do challenge one on cleaning them, with all the feathers inside, which are difficult to dry out, if washed. This pillow gets around that, as a negative, so when it starts taking on body odors through the pillow case, one could theoretically wash and dry it more effectively. And I think the manufacturer should insert some type of cardboard strip, an inch or two wide, running the length of the pillow, underneath the heavy plastic cover, so one could comfortably use a blade of some sort to slit the plastic open without fear of damaging the outer cover of the pillow itself.

Mixed feelings on this new pillow type.
My husband and I tried this product. We each like different pillow types, so there are good and bad things we each thought about the product. I think the biggest problem is that this pillow's innards can sag badly at the bottom, leaving the top completely empty of filling. It seems like a good concept- to shred memory foam and fill a pillow, but it doesn't work as well as it can cause uncomfortable bumps when you lay your head on it. There is a bit of a smell, but not too bad, Just like foam. When trying to bunch up innards to make pillow higher, it'll all slide away once you put your head on it. Perhaps not enough stuffing or too much pillowcase? Another issue is if you tend to sleep with your arm under your pillow, this pillow is really heavy and I woke up with an arm cramp. I think it's definitely the type of product that you have to try to see if you like it. While the foam seems to conform, it tends to sag to one side like a bean bag that needs more pellets.

Cool, Comfortable, Supportive
I have had over two weeks of great sleep with the IYOOVI Shredded Gel Pillow. The number over problem that I've had with gel pillows is that my head gets hot. Sometimes, my head has sweat so much that the pillow gets soggy and cold and wakes me from sleep. Either IYOOVI's gel, or the gel being shredded, or both, makes a huge difference. I've not woke up to a my IYOOVI pillow feeling cold or wet. I love that the pillow compresses to fit but doesn't go flat. It's not usual that I wake in the same position, but it's happened the majority of nights that I've been using the pillow. It's one of the most comfortable pillows I've slept on, so it's easy to give it a high rating. If it flattens out or lasts less than six months, I'll change my rating, but for now I'm five-stars-happy.

Too Soft for Me and My Daughter Eventually Felt the Same
This is air-tight sealed so that it expands out of the bag like a lot of mail-order mattresses. After it expands, it feels a bit soft for me. I prefer more support. My daughter has a gel memory pillow that is medium and she preferred the softer IYOOVI, so I swapped the IYOOVI for her gel memory pillow and we're both happy for a while. But then my daughter tested the pillow some more and came to agree with me: It does not offer enough support. It is full of shreds and popcorn and flattens on a hard surface. I suggest you look elsewhere. Luckily, I have several other memory foam pillows in the closet to choose from.

What more do you need in a pillow? 3.5-4 stars
The IYOOVI pillow has everything that you need for a decent pillow. It is believed to promote sleep, support your neck and be cooling. It is also hypoallergenic and stain resistant (which is great for those who sweat while sleeping). It has a nice quilted looking cover that is washable. The filler is made of shredded memory foam and molds to your head and neck. This one comes tightly rolled. Simply remove the plastic cover and it expands. I haven’t noticed a scent or odor, like you do with some memory foam pillows. It is soft and comfortable. I like it and would recommend it, especially since I change my pillows every six months due to my allergies.

Very much like the ones sold at Sams.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. These are like the Sam's version or My Pillow version with the tiny chunks of foam felt inside. This is a more floppy version how ever, so if you like firm this might not be for you. There isn't a lot of support unless you punch it up before laying down. I tend to use as a cover over my head at night or prop up for reading, but not my main pillow. Comes compressed and I honestly thought it would blow up a lot more than what you see in the video but it really didn't. Extremely soft, wonderful cover on this pillow. This is like that one or two floppy type pillow you find in your hotel room on a king bed.
