Review for 3 Power Stations
Review for 3 Power StationsRockpals 280WhBeaudens 166WhJackery 240WhThese new power stations are great. I have now purchased 3 different types of these and I have decided to review all 3 in the same review. I like this idea because this compares all of them together and I think this might give people some pluses or minus in what they want or need in a certain one. As of now they are all 5 star items. I have used all three of these several times in my class B RV. I WILL keep this review up if anything important comes up.Pros:• Has the LiFePO4 chemistry battery…Beaudens (I really like this pro)• Display…Jackery…gives % battery good vs just a 5 bar graph• Quality build…Jackery (* see below)• Comes with a Pure Sine Wave Inverter…Rockpals…Jackery• Comes with a MPPT solar controller…Beaudens• Built-in AC adaptor (no brick, I like this)…Rockpals• Built-in cigarette port…Rockpals…Jackery• Case is metal aluminum (slight advantage, others are plastic)…BeaudensNeutrals:• Plug-in cigarette port adaptor (not built-in)…Beaudens• Comes with a PWM solar controller…Rockpals…Jackery• Comes with lithium ion battery (maybe should be a Con?)…Rockpals…JackeryCons:• Comes with a Modified Sine Wave Inverter…BeaudensThis probably will not be important to most but I liked the shape of the Rockpals and the Beaudens the best. I have a small Class B RV and every square inch is important to me. The Rockpals is shaped like a square and the Beaudens is shaped like a rectangle, thereby both being very efficient in storage shape. The Rockpals has the added benefit of being very stable with a large footprint so it will be more stable and less likely to fall down while driving. The Jackery is curved with a handle. These power stations provide all the necessary connectors if not built-in or if needed; i.e. solar hookups, cigarette ports, AC adaptors, cigarette chargers etc.All three of these have Amazon reviews of 4.5 or better as of 1/6/2020.I have not considered the amount of Watt Hours each unit has or the size of the inverter for this review. I will assume that is considered into the price of the units.*I saw an interesting video on YouTube where a guy (Will Prowse) cut opened a Jackery and checked out its interior built quality. This man is very knowledgeable with batteries and solar, please check out his many video reviews. He found the Jackery to be extremely well designed with large gauge wires, quality soldered circuit boards, what appeared to be a superior BMS etc. He has looked at others and none were constructed quite as well.I have never received any items for free or at a reduced price, nor been have I been paid for any of my reviews. I try to leave honest reviews based on my experience with the products.

Works well, so far dependable
I've had this for 2 months, and I bought two more after the first one. Testing it with DC bulbs I found it to have about 140 watt hours of capacity, a little less than the 166 spec. Using the built in A/C converter uses up about 10% more so you'll get about 125 watt hours. That's still plenty of power in a small package, especially if the LiFePO batteries hold up for many recharge cycles. It is enough power to charge my family's 2 phones and one laptop for about three days. A few small complaints - 1) The Inverter isn't true sinewave , 2) your phones won't fast charge on this, max is 2.4 amp (the QC3.0 port won't fast charge my Pixel 3 either), and most annoyingly 3) the battery gauge isn't accurate. It reads 4 bars after discharging 100 watt hours, then drops to dead very rapidly. Charging it back up is the reverse, it shows one bar for a long time and then very quickly goes to full. It seems like the circuitry wasn't made for LiFePO which has a very different charge and discharge voltage profile than LiPO for example. I charge this with a 30 watt solar panel without issue. The 12 volt input is rated at 3 amps so anything over 50 watts is unlikely to work well.

Born 10/19/19 Dead 5/31/20.... Up Date 6/12/2020 Dont Buy Update 6/16/2020
Hi I bought this and kept it indoors, Work fine for 6 months. Now its dead. I plug it in to charge and it beeps loudly and will not charge. I wrote the company and received no answer. Its 100% dead, Never got wet, Dropped. I took very good caer of it.Do Not Buy. Beaudans clains 2000 charges, Yeah Right! It died around 30.Update: The company contacted me and ask for a video, Pic and invoice. I gave them all of it, spent more time on this and never heard from them again.Update: After getting a few emails asking for more info which I did send. I took the tine to film and take pics etc.No response.I wrote 4 times now -no response.I would have to say horrible customer service.Update 7/3/2020, I emailed back and forth 10 -12 times. This guyd named Tonny said they would replace the Unit, Made me send pic and more pics and a video. Nothing ever happened. So I wasted my time and money on this product.

Excellent solar battery power station for this price range.
I purchased this product to use during temporary blackouts during storms.Upon testing it,I discovered that it will charge all the devices I plugged into it.The USB charge ports worked on cell phones and tablets.I was concerned about the three prong Ac outlet, because it was not a full sine wave inverter but the motified sine wave inverter worked well on everything I plug into this device so far.You can charge laptops, run small desk lamps, radios and chargers on this AC outlet.I can recharge this device with my 20 watt solar charger but in the future I intent to acquire a 100 watt solar panel to charge this device. You can attach a solar panel directly to this device because it has a built in charge controller. This device was the only one that had a lithium iron phosphate battery at this price range. My research into this type of battery reveals that Li iron phosphate batteries are the most efficient rechargeable batteries for deep cycling applications.
