For the price, this headlamp works surprisingly well. It’s lightweight, bright enough for most tasks, and super handy when you need both hands free—like working in tight spaces or during a power outage. It’s not fancy, but it doesn’t need to be. Comfortable enough to wear for a while, and the red light mode is a nice bonus. A solid, budget-friendly option that does exactly what it’s supposed to.

I've only had this headlamp for a short time, but I've already used it multiple times, and I like it a great deal. The headband is snug but has enough give to be very comfortable, and I can wear it for a long period without a problem. As a matter of fact, I tend to forget I'm wearing it, which can be kind of comical sometimes. Currently I'm using it almost totally for working on computers. I don't have a proper, well lit work space, so the work gets done on the kitchen table where the lighting if fine for eating, not so good for mucking about inside a computer case. Being able to easily tilt the light downward is very helpful in putting the light where I'm looking, and keeping my hands free for messing with screws and cables and seeing that hardware is properly seated etc. If your needs are similar to mine, and you wear a baseball cap as much as I do, one bit of advice: spin that cap around before you put on the headlamp and it will work like a champ....otherwise, the light tends to aim a bit higher than where you need it, especially if you're trying to look through the bottom lens of tri-focals!I'll be going camping in a couple of weeks, so I'll have a chance to try out the light for some of its other uses. I'm also glad that you can easily do a lot of different functions with the light by just using one button. I haven't been using the light long enough to run down a set of batteries yet, but I'd say I've put a solid 3-4 hours of use in so far and no signs of dimming yet. All in all, I'm very pleased and would pick up another one in a heartbeat, and I certainly would recommend the purchase to others.

These are a great headlamp. I have purchased purchased 7 of these. I keep one in my car, 2 in different backpacks, tool boxes, work bench and every other place a light would be needed. In the 7 that I purchased there was a problem with one. The red LED did not work. I had a replacement in my home from Foxelli within 4 business days. I have the black and the white models. I find that the white ones are easier to see in my backpack and on the ground. IMOFoxelli MX20 has all of the light function I need and use the safety whistle on the headband is a helpful option. They are lightweight and comfortable to wear over an extended period of time. The low battery indicator is is an outstanding feature, In the past the only way I knew a battery is going low is when the light stopped working.Having the adjustable light output settings helps increasing battery life. In the past with other lights I would use 100% output all the time. With this light I use the lower settings because I realized I did not need the higher light settings It is lightweight and comfortable to wear. The red LED is very useful for night use when camping or when you do not want to bother other people when you are reading late at night. It is very simple to change the lighting modes. You push the on/off button to cycle through the 4 white light settings 165, 80, 40LM and white flashing 165LM mode. To turn on the red LED you push and hold the on off button for 4 seconds you do the same to turn off the red LED.I had one problem with a lamp. I sent an email and within a few hours I received an email asking if I wanted a refund or where I would like my new replacement lamp shipped. I had a new one within 7 business days from the day I sent the email explaining the problem. Outstanding customer service!!!! The prices on these fluctuate. The first one I purchased was close to $25.00. Later I was able to get them for less than $10.00. At any price point they are worth it. I have a few other brands that cost a lot more money, I feel the quality of the Foxelli is as good as or better than these other lamps. .

Gotta say I really like the amount of light that this puts out, and the controls and modes are well thought out. The white light can be set for three levels of intensity and it is supplied from the large, center spot in the assembly. The red lights are supplied from the two outer, smaller spots located on each side of the white center spot. The red function acutally has an S-O-S blink mode, and both the red and white modes have a fast blink mode. Know this, to change back and forth from red to white modes, you simply hold the button for about four seconds until you see either the red or the white light. Then you can cycle through the modes as usual for each. Although there is a clear spot aspect to the light that is cast, there is plenty of peripheral light such that you will find that this gives a relatively good field of view. I bought this for use with my snowblower and I think I will appreciate the three levels of white light intensity. The brightest is probably too bright. The dimmest, too dim. But I suspect that the intermediate will be just right. Build quality for an all plastic light looks quite good. Not sure I would want to drop it on concrete but, then again, not sure I would want to drop the $80-$100 high end lights on concrete, either. Tremendous bang for your bucks with this. Lightweight, a great set of features, small form factor, and bright light for a ridiculously low price. Probably going to order another. I REALLY like and searched for a light that can accept regular alkaline batteries. This meets the test. Can't say enough good about it.Update: I ordered and just received a second one and now notice what another reviewer reported. On a light surface of any type, there is a very discernable yellow spot in the center of the beam. Quite annoying now that it caught my attention and it displays this way with both of the headlamps so one is not a fluke. On a somewhat humorous note, and with my intentions to use this while snowblowing, I'll be seeing the dreaded "yellow snow" everywhere.
