I have had this product for less than 30 days and the filter has black mold through out. I was prompted to take a look when I noticed a terrible smell coming from it. I am disappointed that the filtration system for this product is so inefficient at preventing mold and mildew in a such a short period of time. I used as directed with Distilled water so I will be sending this back this weekend and trying a different product

Just do yourself a favor and buy the Mainstays version at Walmart. $10 cheaper, better fan, cooler air, wider range, and AC powered as opposed to USB.Only con for the Mainstays might be the increase of water usage versus this one, but well worth it because this thing sucks.Can’t even cool within a 2 foot radius. Less effective than an any mini fan I’ve ever used.

As others have stated it leaks. Within 3 minutes of filling with water it leaked out all over the computer desk and printer. When I went to turn it on all the water had leaked out. It says to wait 3 minutes before use. I did, all water was everywhere. I picked it up and moved to the table where the rest of the water leaked out. Photo attached and you can see where it continued to leak after I moved it. I will be returning this item.

I really wanted to love this product. I got my shipment today and opened it as soon as I got home. I followed the instructions perfectly and then powered it. Low and behold fast blowing coolish air..... then... 3 minutes later it stopped blowing air all nice and fast and smother it was barely trickling out. So I turned it off for a few minutes and back on and it did it again but it only lasted a little over a minute. I don’t know if mine is a dud but I really needed this to work. Our ac went out and I’m in SWFL so this would have helped me as a stay at home mom tremendously. Do I return it? Then I have to wait for it to be shipped there and have to wait for one to be shipped back. That’s already a hassle.

I bought this for a dog house I use for my cats, I got it working. Filled it with ice water. Came out after an hour was working as intended. Left for a few more hours. Come outside its off and won't turn back on. I get it out and it's wet underneath. I can only surmize condensation killed it.This is not intended for use outside and there's electronics placed under the water reservoir which is a super poor design. I've written the seller and Haven't had a response. 40 dollars for a 120mm computer fan and a plastic box. Thanks.

First, ive never written a review for anything ive bought on amazon, its not amazons fault, its the manufacturer of such products, the few products i have gotten were good as can be, but this ac unit is... a mini swamp cooler, i knew that from reading the description and watching a video, the good is it was a nice price, but for the issues it has the price should have been lower, do the people in high rise buildings who draft out these items actually apply them to see if they work? The unit works well enough, but omg it does leak, all over the dam place and onto the usb port, if it were a solid one piece unit instead of many parts clipped together it wouldnt leak, like why did they do that? regular size swamp coolers arent like that, after sealing the holes in the bottom and places where it clips together and around the water tray its much better, the usb port should be in a higher location, how hard is it for the company to add a few more inches of wire to put it in a different spot, the fan out put is not as strong as i had hoped, so i put another fan to use with it for better air flow and removed the front panel of the unit, and also placed the unit in a small plastic serving tray to catch any water that may still leak out, it dont leak as bad when unit is running, i gave this 2 stars because it does run and puts out cool air, but 40 bucks? And all the issues?I probably could have got it at walgreens for 20 bucks, and still would of had to modify it,

Leaked and ruined table

Absolutely terrible product - all it does is leak water, and let me tell you - it cools an area less than 5 feet, which is saying a lot. I would love to have my 40 bucks back.
