Perfect for spacing deck boards, preciselyI was doing my deck and I had one by six boards but at the end I had 20 boards in about 2 inches left if I pushed them all togetherSo how do you perfeclly Space them?You take the gap and divide it into the boards and they’ll tell you what gap you need to precisely space to have them come out perfectMine was 11/64How the hell you figure out what an 11/64 drill bit isBuy 2 thingsThis spacer which will tell you 11/64Then look at your drillbits in Amazon and get a multiple set of bits The same sizeUse three Vice gripsFor the bit and each one and then put them between each boards and you’ll get precise layout for your deck boards….You’re welcome

Holes are accurate but made at a very slight angle. Lowered rating 1 star because the plate thickness is half of what is advertised.0.63" advertised0.35" measured with micrometered

I did not know this existed until I saw my brother's. He has had this for years. I needed to organize my drill bits. this was a great help. I purchased the general brand because his has endured for years.

A tool that really comes in handy when needed.
I purchased this because I was given a large bag of mostly unmarked drill bits. With this gauge I was quickly and easily able to sort out all of the fractional bits by size, mark them, and add them to my index and toolbox.Most people with tools are bound to have loose drill bits floating around their toolboxes. For the price this gauge is well worth purchasing and owning for accuracy, and if for no other reason than to keep your tools organized. Highly recommended.

Stainless steel and embossed numbers
Love that the numbers are subtly embossed / counter-sunk so the ink won’t rub off easily. Lots of hold sizes too so it’s easy to hang up! :)
