Seiko Men's SNE093 Stainless Steel Solar Watch

This is the second Seiko watch I've purchased within the past year to replace one I've worn for 25 years. My old watch is a two tone quartz Seiko that was been worn every day since it was given to me as a 5 year company watch. I finally had to admit the daily wear and tear has made that old watch look too ratty for dressy occasions or even casual office use. So, after a very long term and very low key shopping search for a replacement to the old watch I became smitten with the two tone sister watch of one listed here and bought that one first. I liked the SNE098 two tone version so much, I decided to buy the stainless steel model to wear every day so I didn't wear the 'gold' off the first replacement watch which has now become a dress occasion watch only. I hope both watches last as long as my old (and STILL working) quartz Seiko has served me.

Seiko makes a great watch. I give this one 5 stars even though it’s not exactly what I wanted. I was looking for something a little nicer than my Timex Indiglo which I have been wearing for 20 years. Which it is. I can’t see the clock at night without my glasses on, so I love the Timex with the light. After reading a lot about the luminescent hands, it seemed like this watch might do the trick. The luminescence DOES last a lot longer than other watches I’ve had, but it is not nearly as good as the light. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find a “nicer” watch with a light. Citizen doesn’t make one, neither do any of the other dozens of companies I’ve looked at (I don’t even think even Rolex makes one). I did find a Casio, but I didn’t like the style. Anyway, I will keep this watch because the price was right and it looks good. I just wish one of the higher end companies made a good looking dress watch with a back light.

Best men's all purpose timepiece, got it and had to charge the battery by placing it in the sun and after several hours it charged. After charging I set it with WWV time station and a week later it check right on the second again with WWV the govt time station. I wanted a steel quiet watch that would keep me on time better than an automatic. I have come to love automatics but they can get off time easily. This model stays charged and on the mark. It is also good to use around water like the beach or shower. Holds up there too. 165 feet, 50 meters is as good as you need without being a diver.Lume is good and I do time in the Panama jungle and this guy really fits the bill. A+ Excellent.After wearing for a month plus, I cant believe how accurate it is, the watch stays to the second checking against WWV Ft Collins CO. I removed the metal band and replaced it with a rubber tire tread deployant strap. Still love it.

I sure love this watch. The watch is a beautiful watch and is extremely classy looking for business and recreation. Followed the instructions and charged up the battery fully in 5 hrs. Had to remove 2 watch band links using the Band Link Remover 5 piece set that I ordered at the same time...they came in the box together. Followed on-line instructions and the links were removed in seconds, band fits perfectly. I have set the date and day calendar, was easy to do. I set the time to the U.S. Atomic Clock, official clock. Set it to the second and in 7 days it is correct to the second hand! Reading it in the dark is super...longer you charge it, the better it performs in the dark. Remarkable watch. I love that I won't have to replace batteries any longer and impressed that it is a 10 bar underwater watch. I'm very happy with this striking-looking stainless steel solar watch.

Nice looking watch. Fit and finish is very good for the price. The dial is actually a solar panel and is prone to warping and is very reflective. Dial readability to compromised due to its reflective property. Not a great dial for older eyes. Also, there is no lume, hence no night vision at all.

The watch is very elegant. It keeps accurate time and charges real quick. I kept it under the sun for 20 minutes and it started working. It has not stopped yet. As you wear it daily, it continues to charge. You will no longer need to replace batteries.I wear it both with jeans and a suit. It is suitable for all occasions. I have hairy hands but so far it had not bothered me at all by pulling my hair.It is also relatively light and most of the time I don't even feel it on my hand.The best thing about it is that it is 100 meters (330 ft)water resistant which means I never have to take it off of my hand. I can swim with it or take my daily showers.I bought it directly from Amazon so it came with a 2 year warranty.You will not be disappointed if you buy this watch.

I bought this watch for my husband only a few months ago. At first, it worked well. Now, though, the knob to change the dial comes out on its own at random times and stops the watch from ticking. It's happening almost on a daily basis now, so the watch doesn't keep time very well. We'll be shipping this back under the warranty terms.

Seiko should be applauded for avoiding the trends of over engineered and over sized watches currently on the market. I wanted a simple analog display without the multiple "chrono" dials popular on many of the current men's watches.These are the features I wanted:* solar power* second hand* date* 100M water resistance* sub 40mm face diameter* sub 12mm case thicknessLimiting the wide world of watches by these restrictions left surprisingly few choices and this Seiko was my pick.Only negative I find is the slightly decorative bezel. If it was completely plain without the indented tick marks this would get 5/5 stars for me.

This watch keeps time perfectly, it has a strong construction, it's easy to check the time. I would have prefer a better illumination at night.
