Love Love Love
I have to start out that I was very skeptical about purchasing this vacuum because of the price alone...you know the saying of you get what you pay for. I am SOOO Glad I bought this vacuum. I have 2 English Bulldogs who shed so bad and this vacuum work great! The suction is very strong and I was disgusted at how dirty my floor were. I love this vacuum so much I HIGHLY recommend it to those with hardwood or tile! You will never use your broom again! With a broom I would still have hair and dirt on the floor. I could take a black sock and see all the hair and dust on it right after I swept...with this vacuum i did the same thing after I vacuumed and had no hair what so ever on the sock. VERY STRONG suction, light, easy to use, GREAT price!I saw a bad review about this vacuum being cheap and the handle breaking. I have not had this problem and I have a toddler who has knocked it down and slammed it to the floor quite a few times and it is still going strong.Another bad review was about the hair getting stuck in the top filter...which i true but normally will only do that if the container i full and needs dumped out. It does hold a lot of dirt and hair. I like that I can see how much crap I have vacuumed up.I use it on my area rugs as well but it cannot be used on taller carpet. I guess it can but I think you may ruin the rubber on the bottom very fast.I just purchased another one of these for our office and I got one for my mom on xmas and she LOVES it. I NEVER use a broom anymore! I actually enjoy vacuuming with it lol and seeing how dirty my floors get. I have recommended this vacuum to so many and they purchased it as well and love it just as must as I do.I did find with some of the dog hair, it will stick or static cling to the container...and I just put a diaper wipe in the container to kinda get it to cling to that instead and it has worked wonders. I rarely have to do that but it does work.

Great for hardwoods
I have two bassett hounds that shed like crazy, we are talking tumbleweeds rolling down the hall if we go three days without sweeping. Brooms seem just to push things around, vacuums don't get low enough to do a good job on the hardwood floors, and swiffer cloths work well for small areas but it would take 3-4 cloths to do the whole house(gets $$ fast). I was using a microfiber pad which works well but I would have to take it outside to beat it two or three times by the time I would finish the house (about 1800sf of hardwood and tile).I know that there are more expensive vaccuums that would do a great job but i already own a Dyson Animal and wanted to avoid spending another large chunk of change. Portablity was also a priority, I wanted something lightweight that i could get to easily in case of messes. This little sucker really fit the bill.Positive:It is amazing how much pet hair this thing picks up, even the stuff that I can't see ends up in it's little chamber. It also picks up dog food and most of the wet mudd trail that the big pawed dogs drag in. If there is a little bit of mudd that is ground in I just wait for it to dry and this little bissel will pick it up. Although I still need the dyson for the large area rugs, this little broom vac works great on the edges of the area rugs where dust left behind from other sweeping methods has collected. The canister is fairly large for how small the stick vac is and it does not lose suction when the canister is getting full. I only have to empty it once for each half of my house.Negative: These are minor annoyances at best and I would only take half a star if that were an option. The cord is just shy of making it across my greatroom without changing plugs, 3 extra feet would be nice but it may not be worth making the unit less portable. The fan is on the front of the unit about 2ft high, it occasionally blows newspapers or magazines on coffee tables. I could see if you had really fluffy hair like a long haired cat how this sweeper might just blow the furr around. Although it is nimble around the legs of furniture it's a little akward around baseboards because of the v shape, I still have run the microfiber pad along the baseboards weekly to pick up the fine hairs left behind.Overview:The poweredge pet does exactly what I had hoped for; makes it easy for me to clean up after my messy dogs on a daily basis. I will update a few months down the line to let you know if it still preforms well after moderate/heavy daily use.
