Clarion M303 Marine CD-USB-MP3 Receiver

Bought this unit because it is a Clarion Marine Radio. This unit has only made it through one "full" year of service considering its in storage most of the time. I also bought the rf remote which is $100 to go with the radio to keep from opening the cover that is over it hoping to get years of service out of this unit since water would not come in contact with it. This was not the case the unit has since failed. Unit comes on and everything works but the sound seems stuck at a very low level and will not turn up. Very disappointed.... Upadate unit was sent for repair after review was written unit has since failed again 05/23/17

Installation was relatively easy, but this was to replace an older unit - and the snafu was the remote control connector - which is 6-pin; the new unit is 8-pin. I was forced to buy an adapter for $35, and it worked, but the old remote does not have the new unit's connectivity and functions, so I would recommend upgrading the package deal. Note also that this was an install for a customer with an older iPhone, and the Bluetooth did not connect most of the time.

I live in Houston which has high humidity most of the year. Worked great for (1) summer. Put it in storage for the winter and the face display stopped working before I got to use it for summer (2). Being a marine application is should be able to withstand humidity and moisture. I've been too cheap to replace it and I'm going on summer (3) now. It still works and still connects bluetooth but there is no display. I might as well be blind trying to use this thing. Not sure if I want to replace it with the same model or not, the customer service from Clarion has been non-existent. Their 1-800 #'s give the ring around make the dealers/distributors deal with their problems which doesn't help you the end-user at all.

Bought this as a replacement for the unit that was already in my boat. Works great. I haven't gotten the XM antenna, nor do I plan on it since I am always within cell phone tower range and can stream music from my phone.Truth be told I could have got any auto stereo receiver since my receiver is inside the cabin of my boat, but being able to purchase the marine remote that I can mount in my cockpit or on my transom was enough of a benefit for me to get this unit.

The tuner in this unit has never worked properly. I have only been able to tune in 1 station cleanly. Tech support had no options, other than take it to repair center. Purchased this M303 along with a XC1410 amp, and both are defective. The replacement amp has now failed, and again tech support/customer service has no option for me. I will not be buying Clarion products ever again, poor quality and poor customer service.

Good quality and nice sound. Sometimes problems with connecting to Iphone

The radio was used 3 times since I purchased it. Now it won't work at all. It has been over 30 days since I purchased it therefore can't return to Amazon. Clarion won't warranty this product because it was purchased from other than an authorized Clarion dealer. Now I am out this money and nowhere to turn.Wonderful Chinease made junk.

Product was delivered as advertised and on time with no damage. I installed it on my boat and while it took more than a few hours to figure out, it was not because of the product but because of the way the boat was set up. Really love the product and it is soooo much better than the previous factory installed radio. Thanks.

Nice receiver and ok sound setting tools. Easy to install and use.
