Kookamunga Catnip, 1-Ounce Tub (M6106)

After running out of SmartyKat catnip, I thought I'd give this particular brand a shot.Costs a bit more, but you get what pay for. Kookamunga is definitely better quality, based on just visual and smell factor alone. Catnip is darker and greener, has less stems/hard pieces, and smells fresher than SmartyKat nip.More importantly, all three of my felines approve!

I ran this catnip through a coffee grinder to chop up any sharp bits of stem that might poke my cat's mouth. She thoroughly enjoyed it, which says it's probably fairly potent.

My cat has been only mildly interested in treats and toys in the past, with the exception of this stuffed fish that hangs from an elastic cord. She loves that thing.At any rate, she didn't seem interested much in previous catnip attempts. Only one brand even perked her ears. However, this stuff smells amazing - even to me. It has a fantastic fresh scent that is almost minty in nature. The cat went wild for it. She became immediately playful and started purring at the loudest pitch I have heard to date. Now, she even knows what the container looks like and goes looking for it occasionally. She rubs her head in it and takes a couple of licks and has a lovely couple of hours. She is also happy to just sit with her face buried in the container and I have to stop her from trying to dig in it.I thought that 1oz wouldn't be very much, but we have used it multiple times and you can't tell any has been removed from the container at all. For reference, the container is 4.5 inches across and 1.5 inches deep.

Wanted the bubonic chronic of catnip for my furry friends but they said this is the equivalent to Colombian brick weed. Schwaggity, schwiggity schwagaroo.

My cat loves this. He goes bonkers. The only negative is there are some bigger size stick like pieces among the rest of it that you have to pick out

It would have gotten 5 stars, since I read there was barely any stems in it, but mine had a decent amount in there. Other than that the cats love it. lol

This stuff ain't bad but its price says it all. Not as strong as other brands I have purchased.

My cats are getting older and it seemed they outgrew catnip. So I thought. I have tried expensive to cheap nip, none of which they were interested in. Not giving up, I decided to give this one a try. To my pleasant surprise, it's a big hit! I love seeing my fur babies rolling around in it and having fun. Never too old!

Got this for my cat who historically loves Catnip, he turned his nose up at this and ignored it so maybe it's older less potent stock.
