Easy to change. Quick and easy fix for old, mushy keys.
Had I known it was so easy to change keyboards, I would have done it long ago. The keys feel great, even better than the original, with a defined but soundless click, not mushy or cheap feeling. . All keys are identical to the original. It is not back lit. Watch one of several videos available in youtube on another computer and do the work pausing the video. You will have to remove some lids and screws on the back to release the keyboard. If you're not careful, you might scratch the metal around the keyboard when inserting the knife to pry it off. The two upper corners are tougher to lift off because they're held with double sided tape. The bezel that sits on top of the keyboard also pries off and clicks onto the new one. Also, take the opportunity to change the coin battery, since it will be easily accessible (it won't affect your laptop's settings, except the clock and date.) Best part is that my lapto, a fast Intel i5, is worth repairing by repIacing screens, fans, drives etc. for far less than the cost of a new laptop. My HP laptop is model DM4-1160US.

I would recommend
It has performed fine - no issues. The only thing it did not fit flat as the original battery - however this has not been a problem

I've gone without a keyboard for 3 years on this laptop found this keyboard installed it in about 10 minutes works great I've been using it everyday for a couple weeks now with no issues

Good for the price i paid..

Faulty keyboard
It worked perfectly the first month of use then today keys e d c 5 6 3 stopped working. I tried to fix it by installing it again but that didnt work. I was happy with it at first but now I think it was a waste of money.
