Martha Stewart Crafts Martha Stewart Vintage Decor Matte Chalk Charcoal, 8 oz Paint, 8 Fl Oz

Last year I painted an old laminate counter top with this paint in the River Rock color. It was a gamble as I didn't know if the paint would adhere to the matte-finished laminate. It is a pass-through counter between my dining room and kitchen and I had planned to replace it with a pricey alternative like marble or granite. Thinking I could still go that way if the paint didn't work out, I gave it a try. No prep except a thorough washing and drying to eliminate any dirt or grease. I gave it two coats using a mini-roller with a low nap. After 24 hours I used a matte polyurethane sealer (also with a small roller) and was done. It looks fantastic and has held up beautifully after many months of constant use. I just ordered this back-up bottle in case of a serious scrape sometime in the future.

This is the type of chalky-finish paint I recommend. I tried chalky chicks and it was awful! So, I stopped the project and ordered this, which I’ve used to cover up the areas I painted with chalky chicks and the not yet painted parts. This paint goes on smoothly and you really only need one coat. It dries to a smooth, matte, durable finish.

It's good chalk paint. I just think it's a tiny bottle for the price. Over all its good

This is the perfect shabby chic color. It’s the only soft pink I can find in chalk paint.

This is a nice quality paint it was thick and spreadable and crackeled nicely in areas when dry. It doesn't go super far. For example I was painting a full size bed (Head and Footboard and side rails) and I didn't have enough to complete the job with one jar. But I love the paint and it's held up great!

Absolutely love the color and am so happy with this product. Would definitely recommend.

The color of red wagon is more dust pink. It is an attractive color but I was expecting little red wagon red not faded red

Love these chalk paints. This is my 2nd bottle of this color. I am painting planters with it - plastic, cement, ceramic. The chalk paint can be used on rough spots ie. Cracks, disenigrating areas with loose material. This paint can help hold those together and possibly stop further damage. Just remember to spray with a polyurethane (matte or glossy) after sitting a few days to let the paint cure.then put outside after the polyurethane has cured for several days.

Maybe it's just me, but I found the picture diceving as it looks like a grey. It's definitely blue. It's not bad, just not what I was looking for.

This stuff is really thick and easy to use. Goes on like a dream. Covers a large area for how small a jar it is.
