SEALIGHT H11 LED Resistor Kit Relay Harness Adapter Anti Flicker Error Decoder Warning Canceller

Installed on 2009 LINCOLN MKZPaired with:Sealight H11/H8/H9 LED Headlight Bulbs 15000lm, Paxman L2 Series Low Beam/Fog Light, 360-degree Illumination1st off, as said in other reviews and on the envelope you get these in say, this resistor with get Hot AF!With that being said, this will need a little effort to install, but terribly bad.You will need some small metal screws and a 1/8" titanium drill bit or other coated bit for drilling metal. You will need to set drill speed to high. I have show in my pics, the 2 locations I have mounted mine.You want to mount to framing metal and be sure you are not mounting to your exterior paneling.Once you find a nice solid metal place to mount, hold the copper resistor part in place to find the best spot for mounting where the copper is not coming into contact with any wiring, rubber, or plastic.Again, this will get hot AF. Thats just how resistors work. Nothing crazy.First step to install gain access to your bulbs. You should have your Sealight LEDs already on place. With mine, I had to cut a slit in the rubber light bulb cover and feed the power connections from the outside to the inside of the cover. Then connect the power connections. They will only fit together with the matching connection. No need to worry about orientation or anything.Next move the wiring kit around and see how far out the copper resistor can reach comfortably. You are now looking for a solid metal place to mount.Once you find a place, check behind the metal you are mounting to and make sure you drill bit isn't going to hit anything behind it when you drill breaks thru to the other side.Drill you hole, line up you resistor, and hold tight as you use your Drill and Phillips bit to screw into place. The copper resistor part may try and spin and move. Best to screw it in quick bursts.Once you are mounted, tuck the power connections inside the lighting bezel around the bulb, including the in line fuse, then carefully place the rubber cap over the bulb fixture, making sure your resistor wiring are not pulling on the rubber cap where you made the slit. It will make a gap but you don't want it to be too big. This is to prevent water from getting in there.You could possibly use hot glue or a sealnt around the slit to ensure water stays out .But if didn't make the cut too big, shouldn't be an issue.Anyways, this is what I did and now I have no errors on dash saying "Check headlamp"Hope this helps! 01-06-2019 Update: Replacements arrived, installed, and worked fine. No visible damage to originals, but computer error cleared with replacement kit. LED Lights worked fine throughout.12-26-2018 Update: One of these failed. The computer error returned. I have ordered replacements through Amazon. Will update as appropriate.These SEALIGHT H11 LED Resistor Kit Relay Harness Adapter Anti Flicker Error Decoder Warning Canceller worked perfectly on my SUV after installing upgrade LED headlamps. The Volvo computer on my 2011 XC60 complained about the LED lamps so I installed these kits, plug and play, and no errors. It would have been nice if they would have included double sided tape or something similar and or wire ties to secure these, but I made it work easily enough.

I ended up not using the resistor because they wouldn’t properly snap into my expeditions wiring harness. It snapped just fine into the Sealight led but the actual harness for the truck is a no go unless you tape it. Wasn’t comfortable going that route so I took it off. Everything worked perfectly without it.

These absolutely work the only reason I'm giving 4 stars is they get very very dangerously hot. I had them just kind of floating in the engine compartment and the melted plastic around them and were to hot to touch!! That seems wrong to me.

I didnt need the resistors on my 2016 Ram 3500 for either the fog light or the head lightsIf your not sure a quick web search will have the info you need to make that determination

Installed on f-150 2018 xlt sport edition but day time running light won’t goes off as driving or back up even light switch is it’s on off mode. Called sealight and she sent me a resistor that it should work. I took it to the auto shop that did the installation to put it on but still can’t control day time running light off. Call again and left messages but she never calls back and solve the problem. Kind of disappointed and everyday I have to drive my 6” lifted f-150 18 18 with LIGHT ON every second!! I wish sealight could have done that might help me solve this problem but they chose the other direction.

Bought this SEALIGHT Resistor to go with the SEALIGHT H11 LED lights I got for our 2013 Ford Focus Titanium. The resistor made the lights work, but they get dangerously hot.I took the headlight casings off to install the LED high beam bulbs and discovered that the resistors had begun to melt through the plastic of the casing (see pictures). I disconnected the resistors and now looking for a replacement product. Can't be safe to have this in your car. I would have returned the resistors, but they are literally fused to the light casings.

Wires are plenty thick, I’ve got the heat shrink resistor not touching anything with plenty of airflow and super easy to install on a2020 International LT semi-truck
