Excellent little clock radio for the price.
I just received my radio yesterday and just started using. The product is feature rich and does a lot more than my older clock radios which cost a lot more than this one. The product is excellent but the documentation is inadequate. Fortunately, users on this web site answered my questions on how to operate it. The fact that it has few buttons is not a minus since most electronics products these days limit the number of buttons to reduce cost. The days of the noisy on/off switch potentiometer volume control are long gone. Knob tuning has also gone by the wayside. I can tell you these older radios often drifted off frequency near a drafty window. This is not a problem with modern PLL tuning. I would definitely recommend this radio unless you feel that using digital equipment is too much when documentation is skimpy. I would prefer to give this radio 4 1/2 stars for the poor operating instructions but I had to round it up to five stars because of Amazon's rating system.

Not exactly a no-brainer...
I like this little clock very much, but it was rather frustrating at first - hence the four stars instead of five. It is not very intuitive and the instructions are not very helpful; however, after a little practice I rather like it's minimalistic quality. Everything other than the learning curve would have gotten this product five stars, such as: dimmer - lowest is hard to see in daylight but perfect for nighttime and the medium is fine for daylight and not too bright while sleeping, I love two alarms, I love having a beep alarm as well as a music option, it's tiny - fits in my hand (I'm average/petite), it's light, gets good reception - I left the antenna wrapped up and it still works fine, it can be very loud for it's small size. I think that's about it. All is good except for learning how it works!

Perfect for my purposes!
It's true that the settings are not very intuitive, but once I figured out how the clock worked, I loved it! (I do keep the instructions handy, though, for things I don't do every day). I like the small footprint, red display with adjustable brightness, convenient snooze button, dual alarms, and ease of setting and turning off the alarms (once I figured out how they worked). I especially love that the alarms start out faint and gradually increase in volume. The radio is very easy to tune, with excellent reception, and the sound quality is not bad (better than my last alarm clock, though not the best I've ever heard). Altogether the most satisfactory alarm clock I have ever owned.

Nice Clock, Horrendous Instructions
This is a nice clock. The dimming feature is great as this sits on my bedside table. The alarm starts off soft and builds. I would have given it 5 stars except for one very peculiar feature. The instructions are horrendous! It honestly DOES NOT tell you how to turn off the alarm!!! Even if you go to the website to download the full instruction manual, it still gives it no mention. If you don't believe me, try for yourself! I had to set the alarm a few times and try it out before I found the right button to push. It's the radio on/off button, which is ok, but why not actually spell this out???Update 2/1/15:I am downgrading this to one star. Only buy this if you live alone or ALWAYS sleep until the alarm goes off. Say you wake up early one day. Your spouse is still asleep and you don't want to wake them. With a normal alarm clock that has a physical switch dedicated to turning the alarm on and off, you just turn the alarm off and get out of bed. That won't happen with this alarm clock! There is a multi step process to getting the alarm turned off/on. It takes multiple clicks of the buttons that are flush with the clock's top surface. So, first you have to find the buttons in the dark, then you have to start clicking away at these. If your spouse is a light sleeper, they will wake up to all the clicking. This will also happen if you forgot to turn the alarm back on before your spouse when to bed, think Sunday night. This happened with my spouse a number of times. Since she never uses the alarm function on her clock, we have swapped. Her's has a dedicated on/off switch.
