You will like these bino's !
To begin, I will briefly summarize that these are the best lightweight, compact bino's I have come across & I would highly recommend them !I like to hike with a small pair of bino's on my belt, and this winter after a snowshoeing day I left my pair on the top of the car, drove off and they were history. (I didn't like them much anyway...) I then needed to get a new pair, so internet "research" and a workingman's budget resulted in my purchase of the Bushnell Trophy XLT 8x32's. I found them to be exactly what I wanted ! But...Subsequently, I had a chance to purchase some Vortex's at manufacture's cost. I took my Bushnell Trophy's down to a large outdoor sports retailer and "test drove" them against Vortex Diamondbacks & Crossfire, as well as that retailers own brand. I fully expected to be selecting my next hiker bino's to replace the Trophy's, and was prepared to spend up to double what I spent on the Trophy's (including my discount).Low & behold, the Bushnell Trophy's outperformed them all ! And believe me, I put them through a thorough test - repeatedly. So to conclude, if you're looking for a pair of lightweight, compact bino's that don't cost an arm & a leg, get these. Additionally. the case is appropriately sized, the swivel out eyecups do their job, they feel comfortable in your hand, and they've not fogged in below freezing nor hot & humid weather. Also, they ride well on my hip, and the optics, as I've confirmed, outperform similar bino's over twice the price. The only negative aspect is that they do not come with any lens protector caps, but a lightweight "drawbag" is provided instead. This I don't like, but maybe Bushnell reps will have read this comment repeatedly, and will address this issue...

Binoculars perform commensurate with their price
My wife and I both have a pair. They are mainly for use when travelling by airplane on vacation where size and weight are factors. At home, or when travelling by car, we use our 8.5x42 Swarovski EL binoculars. They retail at $2k each versus under $100 for the Bushnell's. This review, and your purchasing of these binoculars needs to take into account that the price equates to quality. The Trophy bins are small and will fit in larger cargo pant pockets, a purse or small carryall. They are also very light and easy on the neck and shoulders, which is a plus when doing a lot of walking. The central focusing knob is smoothe, especially in comparison to other brands of a like size. The individual right eyepiece can be adjusted, but we found it difficult to get it precisely where you want it for overall sharpness. The lenses are coated, but you do see a small circular corona. which is not objectionable. The field of view is decent.at 309 feet. The bins are nitrogen purged and waterproof. However, we haven't used them in rain as of this review. You can pick out birds in trees fairly easily. With the small objective lens the gathering of light at dusk and dawn is not nearly as good as the Swarvovsky. But, it is adequate. As is the fine tuning of objects. Our opinion, after testing these bins and several other compact bins (some in the $200+ range) is that these are better and you can't beat the price.

Six Year Review
Six years of flawless use in every weather condition you can imagine. I especially like the clarity it has in the sunrise hours during deer hunting season. The optics seem to "bring out" the tans and beige hues of deer from the background of the pines we hunt where we've had our best luck. Super light so extended time behind tbe glass doesn't fatigue your arms. All in all for our style of backpack hunting they're perfect.

mediocre pair of binoculars, as expected
A few weeks ago I would have given these binoculars 3 stars being exactly what I expected from a pair of Bushnells being closed out at less than $50. I've used some very good, expensive binoculars professionally over the last several decades, and generally you get what you pay for. These binoculars are typical low priced optics: the diopter adjustment doesn't work well, the focusing ring doesn't work that well, and the optics aren't that clear (in focus). And come on Bushnell: spend the additional few pennies and provide lens covers! The Binos are reasonably light, and are okay in function, what I expect of less than $100 optics. Adorama, too, was very slow to ship them, unlike the experience I've had with them in the past. What makes these binos 2 stars in my opinion is how much better the newer version of the 8x32 Bushnell Trophy is. The diopter works well, the focus ring feels so much smoother and responsive, they feel good in your hands, and the image is much better. In a side by side comparison, even my kids liked the newer version more. For less than $80! If you can swing the extra $30 or so, the new version is well worth it.

These Rock!
I agree that these are a great pair of compact binoculars. I tried more than a dozen before purchasing these (used) thru Amazon. What sold me was the diameter of the lenses (32mm) which made objects seem so much brighter and lifelike. In my search for a pair of compact binoculars, most seemed to be around 25mm or 42mm. Either too big or too big or too small. These have a great sturdy and quality feel to them yet won't take up too much room in a backpack. Personally, I do feel that they are too big to put in a pocket of cargo pants or shorts. They would fit but would bulge a bit to make it uncomfortable to walk. I would like to add that there are no lenses caps but there is a case as well as a pouch and a small lenses cleaning cloth that comes with them.

An interesting compromise design
These binoculars are interesting. They're neither fish nor fowl, if I can put it like that. They're larger and clearer than the usual sub-compact types (21-25mm lenses), but not as clear or as bright as the more upmarket 42-45mm units. Nevertheless, I find them very useful. They're not 'pocket' size unless you have large pockets (they fit fine in my lumber jacket pocket, but not in trouser pockets). They're more portable than my larger binoculars, so I find I carry them more for short hikes and for hunting. For bird-watching, I prefer my Vanguard Endeavor 8x42mm unit, which is among the best in its class.

Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.
Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo, ottima visione. Non giustificabile l'assenza dei tappi per proteggere le lenti anteriori, previste solo per ingrandimenti superiori a 8x32
