This book is fantastic! It's too advanced for my son to read on his own for a few years, but he's only four right now. The pictures are great though -- he immediately recognized the series of pictures demonstrating the Sign of the Cross. There's lots of text explaining the Sign of the Cross, it's meaning, etc, so that's great to read to and talk about with your child. It is the same for several prayers and customs -- it breaks down the lines of prayers and explains what it means for a child. The pictures are interesting enough and plentiful enough for a child to look through at church or at home, and the text is a really good guide for parents to help explain our faith and customs. It's perfectly suited for the traditional Catholic faith, too. Our family follows the traditional Latin rites, with the 1962 Roman Missal, and it can be difficult to find books on the Catholic Mass that isn't about the Novus Ordo Mass, but the trend seems to be shifting back to the traditions again, so I'm glad to see more are available again. I am sure we'll use this book a lot for several years with our children.

Best little mass book
Our family attends TLM and this is a wonderful mass book for kids. Our daughters love the illustrations. It does not mince words about proper decorum in mass! We’ve gifted a second copy and I’ve recommended it to multiple other families.

Precious little book
This book is a gen. The pictures are so sweet and the content is even sweeter. It goes over the meaning of the sign of the cross, the Our Father line by line, the Hail Mary line by line, the meaning behind various parts of the Mass, as well as proper behavior during Mass. Thank you, Neumann Press for publishing a beautiful and traditional book for our Catholic children.

Love this book!
Got it for the 5 year old's Easter basket and she loves it. It gives a wonderful explanation of the Trinity, breaks down prayers we say to a child's level, and covers why we behave kindly and reverently in mass. It is from the 1950s so some of it is not modern but I honestly prefer it. We take it to mass with us and read it in the car. I love the sweet illustrations, too! Great book to have for your little ones.

Perfect for my 4-year-old
My son and I love this book. It is sweet and vintage and very clearly expresses at a child's level what Mass is for and why we behave the way we do there. My son is 4 and often repeats things he learned from this book--about the church being "God's house" and the need to be respectful.
