incredible product! My 6 year old loves to cook with me and he absolutely loves this caddy of kitchen tools. The tools are just his size and were definitely sensibly made. They have unique features that make it safe for him, and also helps him leverage his limited strength and experience to use the tools. For example, the measuring cups and spoons are flat, so he can use both hands to pour, which is very helpful. The ergonommmic handles of the tools help him not only to be more accurate but also to feel more confident about what he is doing. The vaddy is helpful because it keeps all of the tools together and stowed out of the way inconspicuously when not in use. I wasnt sure we were going to need all of the tools, but surprisingly he uses most of them. I was also concerned about how well the knives would work, but they are also surprisingly useful. Use the serrated knife for meat, because the flat knife just isn't sharp enough (for obvious reasons) and you may want to toss meat and soft cheese in the freezer for 5-10 minutes to facilitate easy cutting. Having a rigid piece of food to cut helps with the accuracy and makes it easy for a small child. I can see this lasting my son for probably close to age 13-14 when he would likely start using the "real" tools.

My 5 year old grandson likes to help his mom cook, especially the prep, but unfortunately he cannot yet use a paring knife and his mom's other utensils are too big. I was going to but just a few of the utensils but by the time I added them all up for another 15 bucks I could buy this whole set. Had no idea what to expect, but I dove in anyway. This set is terrific! He loves it and he was able to help chop strawberries for the jam we were going to make, . The knives work really well are a good size and although you have to use a sawing motion I wasn't having to hover over him with the fear that he would cut himself. The only thing we took out to save for later was the peeler which is too sharp for a little guy. I found myself reaching for the stirring spoon and knives because they were handy in the caddy and they worked really well. Good quality and so many tools to learn to use. Definitely worth the money. I paired it with the Williams-Sonoma Kids In The Kitchen cookbook for a complete birthday gift. I know he and his younger brother will use them both for a long time.

My daughter used this from the second she opened the box! She is only 7 and we don't really let her use knives. That said, I feel comfortable letting her use these. They really work - I've used them myself. This set is great for both baking and cooking which is why I chose this set. My daughter can't wait to cook us something. Even if she cooks something that isn't a favorite (like chicken noodle soup) she suddenly loves it! She takes pride in her "work" and hopes to be the next Master Chef Jr. We even purchased the Curious Chef apron/hat/mitt set and she loves it.When we opened the box we notice a knife was missing and the "tool separater" was broken. I contacted Amazon. They were AWESOME. She didn't want to send it back. "I can deal without the knife momma. And really, it isn't THAT broken." I asked for replacement parts instead of having to send the item back for a total replacement... They sent me an entire new set and a return label asking me to return the broken one at my earliest convenience! She was so happy not to lose her tools.Completely happy with both the product and the customer service!!!

My kids love helping in the kitchen but it was always hard to have them help with their favorite part, cutting. I'm astonished at how well these knives cut. I don't know how they do it!!! I decided to get the whole set and made it an Easter present for them along with matching aprons for both my girls and myself. We have used this several times already. I have it on the counter where the kids can grab what they need. My oldest now likes to measure her snack crackers. Lol. It has gotten a good deal of use already and I can see it being used for years to come. Makes me feel better that these utensils are so much safer for kids. They now help with peeling carrots too! Bonus for me to get help with food prep ;) My girls are 3 and 8 for reference.

Words cannot express how impressed I am with the quality of this product! For the price, I assumed this would include cheap, flimsy tools, but I was way wrong! These tools are nicer than some of my own kitchen tools, and I have even used the measuring spoons for my own cooking because they're so nice! These tools are built for kids - small, easy grip with a little rubber, and safe. The knives cut well, and the spatula can handle the heat (my daughter was flipping pancakes with hers this morning and it didn't melt the end). If I try really hard to come up with a con, I would say the carry caddy could stand a tad more room in the back, but that's a non-issue for me, because even the caddy is so well made it can drop on the floor and not crack/break/lose a handle. You will not be disappointed if you by this for your budding young chef!
