I inserted one of the batteries incorrectly so of course the remote didn't work. Once I fixed that Simple Simon error, the remote worked great.This remote works just as well at the original -- a great relief because the original remote had disappeared without a trace, rendering my television useless.This replacement remote is offered at a very good price, looks pretty much the same as the original, and does everything the original did.There is no manual to read, and no keys you have to learn. Just put batteries in --correctly of course -- and you're good to go. No setting up, no codes, and no worries.If you need a replacement remote control for your Roku television, you can't go wrong here.I also ordered a glow in the dark cover to make this remote hard to lose and easy to find.This is a good product at a good price, and that's good to know.

Seems to work as well as the remote that came with our TCL Roku TV. I ordered this as an extra remote and hid it from my family until the day comes that a child or pet loses the original. It’s basically an insurance policy, so it doesn’t get much use, but it’s been perfect the couple of times I’ve needed it. Pros: I paid twice as much for a replacement remote for a Roku streaming box a couple of years ago, so this seems like a good value. Also, it has a quick-launch button for Amazon, unlike the original. Cons: It’s super light-weight, which makes it feel kind of cheap, and it doesn’t come with batteries, but that was clearly stated in the description. This one has an Amazon button instead of HBO Now, and the white print on the buttons either isn't as opaque, or has a gray cast to it, I'm not sure which. The white on the buttons isn't as bright. Otherwise they're pretty much identical.

I ordered two of these remotes for my TCL 43S403 and 65S513 TVs because I lost the remote for one of them. I saw this one on Amazon, noticed it has buttons for both Amazon and Netflix, and ordered one for both TVs. I installed batteries (not included) and the remotes immediately worked perfectly on both TVs. What's nice is that if you're planning to watch either Amazon or Netflix, just pressing the button for the one you want turns the TV on, and connects directly to that streaming service. Of course the buttons also work the same if you're already watching something else, but the point is you don't have to turn the TV on first. (One thing I'd like to see Roku add to their remotes is a LiveTV or Exit button. My Hisense TV remote has a LiveTV button that switches the TV from the streaming service that's being watched back to whichever TV input source is programmed as the default (or live TV) whenever the TV is turned on. For me, that's HDMI1, which is satellite. Maybe they could reprogram one of the streaming services buttons to do that for TCL TVs.)

Remote quit working on my TCL 32S305 tv. Tried new batteries; checked to confirm the IR signal was working (use digital camera on tablet/phone in a darkened room - point the remote at it and press on/off - you'll see a little flash thru view finder). ANYHOW, because the IR signal was evident, I figured it was the receiver on the TV... but, following the easiest (cheapest) resolution first rule, I ordered and tried a new remote... worked immediately.

I have a TCL 50 S425 50 Inch 4K Smart LED Roku TV (2019). The remote worked immediately, without any setup required. (Remember, if you lose or break your remote, you can use the Roku phone app to run things until your remote arrive.)My original remote would work well, even if you were not pointed at the TV. This one seems to have a weaker signal, so you have to be pointing directly at the TV for it to work. Considering the low price, it's a minor issue.

Love these replacement remotes. They are good quality. Buttons are soft and responsive, no lag that I’ve noticed. The buttons on the bottom tend to change (I’ve ordered these same remotes several times over the years) from Disney+, Hulu, Sling - but I rarely use the channel buttons anyway, aside from Netflix. Definitely worth purchasing a few to have spares in the house in case you lose or break your original remote. Definitely recommend!

Worked perfectly, no issues at all. Functioned as it should right out of the box with my 40in TCL Roku TV and I haven't had an issue with it yet. The off-brand shortcut buttons are kinda amusing, however...
