Meets all expectations and great on a smooth-top stove
For a number of reasons, I enjoy my smooth-top stove. However, I found it important that my pots and pans have smooth bottoms, fully touching the burner to provide even heat. Needing a big frying pan that would produce nice, even-color pancakes (for instance) on a smooth-top stove, I first researched cooking sets on Consumer Reports. I found that Swiss Diamond cookware did very well on their tests. The price is high but decided the purchase was for long-term use, when quality pays for itself. Since purchasing this pan, I've found it lived up to my cooking expectations and enjoy the bonus that it is very easy to clean. It is a little on the heavy side but I don't know of a lighter weight pan that would heat as evenly. I am considering replacing some of my other cookware with this brand - when and as my budget allows.

This is NOT (repeat NOT) an induction ready fry pan ...
This is NOT (repeat NOT) an induction ready fry pan, I don't care if the company says it is, don't bother. At full power boost it gently warms an egg over five minutes.

It's a great pan
I love this pan because the sides are just high enough to keep the food in but low enough to flip food too. It heats food evenly. It is no stick and very easy to clean. It is also good for induction. My husband was very upset about the price but it is now his favorite pan and says its worth it. I have to admit that this is the most expensive pan I have ever bought but it will last forever and it's a great pan.

Like/love it
This pan was very, very pricey, and overall I'm happy with it. However, to claim it won't scratch isn't really true. I'm very careful using it, never use metal utensils, and always wash it by hand and dry it with a soft dishcloth. I store it with the lid on to ensure nothing gets stacked on top of it. Still, there are scratches. I can live with them because the pan works great on my induction cooktop and is a dream to clean. I hope it lasts my lifetime because I can't afford any more and I've found it really difficult to find pans that work on induction cooktops, but I guess that's another story. Go ahead and buy it - just don't have any illusions of it staying scratch-free.

Heat is limited on induction
When I first tried this pan, I almost sent it back. On both a Max Burton and a Duxtop induction cooktop, it takes a long time to heat up, and even on the highest setting, it maxes out at medium-low heat. Both cooktops sometimes get an error for the first few seconds because they can't detect enough magnetic metal. But it always eventually works, and I decided to keep it because I got it for eggs, and it works great for eggs. Now I'm also using it for pancakes. With stainless steel or cast iron, it's hard to get the temperature just right, and induction heat tends to focus in a ring around the middle. But this pan is exceptionally good at spreading the heat, and the inevitable temperature is guaranteed golden brown. I'm still going to use cast iron for fast frying and stainless steel for liquids.Edit: I've removed a star because the nonstick surface is not that tough. Even though I've been careful, it's getting scratched a bit. Also, it's frustrating that induction cooktops have trouble detecting the pan. I've never had this happen with cast iron or stainless steel, but with this pan it's impossible to use the two lowest settings, because the induction comes on and off and it keeps getting an error. Even to use a higher setting with continuous induction, sometimes I have to trick the burner by starting with a steel pan and then quickly switching to this one. Also, in response to a question I've taken exact measurements: The top rim is 11 inches on the inside and 11.5 on the outside. The bottom that touches the burner is just under 9 inches. And the cooking surface diameter is 9.5 inches.

The Only Fry Pan To Buy
I'm obsessed with frying pans and have bought more brands than I care to advertise from low to high priced. All of them are great at the start but after a few months, the surface damages no matter what I do. I learned about this brand from a cooking article and took a flyer and bought one. Now I own all the sizes. This is by far the best frying pan I have ever bought. It is extremely durable and on the heavy side and it cleans up amazingly well. It does take a little longer to heat up to get started but once it's hot, it maintains the best heating surface for cooking everything from eggs to pancakes.

Buyer beware poor quality
Coating came off, manufacturer would not replace, said I used it on high heat! Oops… I did not know that the fry pan couldn’t be use on high heat! In small print on the manual the manufacturer protected themselves. DON’T BUY THIS PRODUCT, BUYER BEWARE!

Swiss Diamond Induction Cookware
Wow, this is the pan to have if you don't want anything to stick!! It's the most amazing pan I've ever used. Just a drop of oil and the eggs slide off. Swiss Diamond is on the expensive side, but worth every penny. I'm not purchasing a 9.5" pan. Wish I would have known about this before I bought my All-Clad set. I could have gotten a smaller set and more of the Swiss Diamond. Oh, well, hindsight is 20-20.
