Timetec® Newly Developed Suction Mount for The Roadhawk HD and Roadhawk DC-2 Black Box Cameras (Type B) (Suction Mount Type B)

Ok, so when I first looked at this thing, I was all like, "Dubbya Tee Eff? -- How is it going to connect to my Roadhawk™ forward-looking dashcam? But then figured out that you have to disconnect the piece with the huggy-wheel-thingy because the suction mount connects directly to the device. In other words, you are going to slide completely off that little arm with the retention wheel that protrudes from the device and then slide the device housing right over that little square (or was it rectangular) piece offered on the suction mount. Once you figure that out, you are home free and can position your camera anywhere you like on your window. Or ANY window, for that matter. Have fun!I do wish they would just offer the suction mount as part of the deal, even if they have to charge another 5 bucks. I did not like having to choose a permanent location for the camera. But the Timetec® has saved the day!

Sticks well to glass and is adjustable for different angles. Squeaks after a few months though and horizontal adjustment will work loose and will make video judder. I glued mine in place to resolve. It no longer swivels but it also no longer wobbles or squeaks.

Fits tightly into the forward slotCons:- The 'latch key' is very small, then again the slot for the camera is small too. My only concern is that it could break easily.- Difficult to attach. Requires some force.- Difficult to detach from camera. If you want to swap the suction or whatever, it will be difficult to remove. (Tip: if you saved that plastic/ styrofoam-ie wrap that was use to wrap the new camera use it to cover up the lens when trying to wiggle the suction mount free)- Does not have a neck like the: Timetec® Universal 1/4-20" Car Vehicle Windshield Dashboard Window bracket Mount Suction Cup Holder Tripod for GPS ,DVR, Action Camera, Car Cam and more (So its very compacted but that's a bit troublesome if you're trying to remove mount and/ or if you have big hands)Note/Tips:- Only allows tilt (Although, the tilt angles are smaller compared to the other model, I believe)- I do prefer the other one as linked above since it allows rotation and better tilt capability- - Add some water on the suction pad and it should stick to back window. Great suction cup. Puts camera a little closer to glass to help eliminate glare.

I wanted a suction mount, as opposed to the stationary tape mount, able to switch between my car and truck, on a daily basis. So far, I have used this mount a little over a month now, with absolutely zero problems. Sticks every time, comes off easy, goes back on easy. The model I got was a slide in, not a tripod mount screws in. When you attach it to the roadhawk HD, it is not coming off easily. A real nice snug fit, no vibration whatsoever, not even in a truck A perfect match for the roadhawk. Would highly recommend.

This thing is a 1000000 times better than the original mount.On my Corolla the original mount would just keep falling. The company offered to send me more stickers or advised me to purchase this. I bought the bullet and bought this and am happy with my purchase. Not only is this more convenient, its actually safer also as you can remove the camera in markets to avoid theft and damage to vehicle from prowlers.I am pissed off at the company though as to why this is not included by default with the super expensive camera.

I really wanted another way to mount the dash-cam, and this is it! The Timetec® Newly Developed Suction Mount for the RoadHawk HD and RoadHawk DC-2 black box cameras (Type B) (Suction Mount Type B) is just what I needed! Just one thing: mine doesn't attach by way of the slide---it doesn't have the sliding bit, but has a camera mount screw for the threaded hole in the camera. Works great, though.

You don't need to experiment with other Suction mounts. This one will work with any angle of windshield. It sits far enough forward on the top of the device to be very adjustable.
