Daily Fun
I bought this for my grand daughter a couple of months ago. She was 10 months old at the time and fascinated with my computer keyboard. I propped it open next to my keyboard and played with it while she watched the first time. Ever since she has played with it several times every day. This toy has three different modes. One is for learning where each number says its name as well as its shape. The "mouse" then counts from one to nine. The next mode is for music where each number provides a different tone and the number 8 counts from one to nine and the mouse sings the ABC's. The third mode is Spanish where each number is in both English and Spanish and the mouse sings "hola hola that means hello, adios bye bye it's time to go. The screen has moving lights that either display the numbers or will flash during music. This is a great learning tool that has a lot of things to keep your little one interested for long periods of time.It is also virtually indestructible. She has dropped it many times and it shows no signs of wear. I highly recommend this toy for any baby 8 months old or older. I am sure it will remain one of her favorites for some time now.

Cute Baby Lap Top at A Good Price.
Got this at a super good price through Amazon. This one is a lot easier to play compared with the V-tech baby lap top. The toddler loves playing it. He learns alphabet, numbers and nice songs from playing with this. Those songs from this baby laptop are beautiful. It's true that the toddlers love opening and shutting it. A good buy at an excellent price. Thank you Amazon. I recommend this to parents with babies around one year old.

Attention grabber
I bought this item for my baby neice because like all young kids, she is infatuated with everyones' phones. Right away she was attracted to the lights and sounds. She got especially excited when you open and close it, it says hello and goodbye. I think that was her favorite part. It's a sturdy little thing. She must have opened and closed it a hundred times right off the bat. I like that it teaches spanish.I do wish that it would say each letter of the alphabet individually, unless it does and I missed that part. I only played with it a couple times before giveing it to her on Christmas. I think that it could use a little padding around the edges where it comes together so it doesn't pinch little fingers when they open and close it a million times, but overall it made a great learning toy

Nice toy but be watchful
I found this toy when looking under the 6 to 12 months range (my kid is 7 months old) and bought it because my son seems to have a fascination with anything with a keyboard and lights on it.In fact he does like this particular toy a lot, however there is a drawback to this toy (somebody else also mentioned this in his review, but I didn't pay much attention to it until now), his fingers get slammed often when he is closing the lid. Fisher Price could easily improve on this otherwise nice toy by making the lid lock in the open position and have a release button for it.My kid still plays with it, but under our watchful eye.

Awesome toy
My son loves this toy. His favorite thing to do right now, while it's in alphabet mode, is turn the mouse enough times to get it to play the alphabet song. He LOVES that song and dances to it. I got this for him when he was 6 months old but he has played with it more since he turned 1 year and plays with it all the time now that he is 17 months old. He also went through a phase where he loved to push all the keys and see what happened on the LED. I like this a lot better than the Vtech laptop. When he first got this his favorite thing to do was open and close it. He closed it on his fingers exactly one time (didn't get upset) and never did it again. Closing his fingers in there has not been a problem for us at all. I'm so glad I bought this!

Reviewing Laugh and Learn Magic Scan Market, not the Laptop
This is a toy that has all the things that are fun for babies--lights, buttons, music. I hope someone reads this and can answer a question for me--there is a mode where the voice says something about play time. When you push the buttons, it just makes a sound that is the same for all the buttons. It's not musical, it's just like a dull thud. Is this supposed to be doing something else? When you push on the basket, there is a frog sound, but that's about all I can get out of it! I hope someone can tell me whether I have a defective unit or not! I am editing this--I actually am reviewing the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Magic Scan Market. I am so sorry that I didn't do this right!

This item is not quite as fun for my baby as I had hoped it would ...
This item is not quite as fun for my baby as I had hoped it would be. He enjoys pressing similar buttons on other toys, but this one is not great mostly because what shows up on the screen seems disconnected from the buttons he pushes. For example, on the "song" setting, a square shows up on the screen when he presses one button... but is it the "square" button? No. Why? No idea. There doesn't seem to be a lot of thought put in to the assignment of shapes and such when it's not actually directly on the "shape" setting (if that makes sense.) My baby seems pretty disinterested in it.

Not as good as the VTech Baby's Learning Laptop
We bought both this and the VTech laptop for my daughter for Christmas. The VTech laptop is much more fun for her - there are more sounds, lights, and music. The whole "screen" lights up - this Fisher Price screen is mostly a big sticker with just a small portion that does anything. The mouse on this laptop is smaller and harder for my 6-month old to manipulate. She loves the mouse on the VTech. I wish we had only bought the VTech laptop. This one is not worth it. Get the VTech instead - it has the added bonus of being cheaper as well. (At least that was the case when we made our purchases.) If we hadn't gotten the VTech too, I might have rated this one higher because I wouldn't have known any better.

My 9 month old loves this!
This is a great interactive toy. My little one loves to simply open and close this and then 'gets to work' banging at the buttons. Would definitely recommend.

A big disappointment
This smartscreen laptop for kids can play only 3 songs despite its 9 keys and big form factor.I consider this product a big disappointment.Had ordered 2 of these , one for my baby who is 7 month old and other for my brothers baby , who is 6 mth old.I feel very frustrated now seeing that this product is so limiting in its capability. At a much lesser price , fisher-price already have a similar product but with the form factor of a mobile phone. I have it and we love it.But this product disappointed.

Laptop for Tiny Tots
Today's tech savvy kids need an appropriate toy to keep them occupied. This gadget is ideal for tiny tots, it is colourful with many basic geometrical shapes that can be pressed and squeezed and produces all kinds of sounds to hod the attention of fidgety kids.My grandchild, not even a year old, just loves it.

Great!
This is great educational toy, it teaches numbers in English and French, the alphabet and also plays fun music. Just the fact that it is a laptop starts familiarizing babies with computers. My granddaughter enjoys playing with it, very good for traveling in the car.
