Good toy laptop!
Pros:-Color screen-Lots of activities-Do not have to understand too much to have fun with it-Looks pretty realistic-Nice sounds!Cons:-I wish the mouse were built in like a touchpad. The wire gets bent and our last one stopped working due to this.-Screen very small and not detailed (but for the price, still OK)My 3 year old is a bit young to understand all the games, but he still has a great time carrying this around and "working" on it. A real win for our little guy - especially since I scored it for less than $32.

Great for Child's Learning
I love watching my nephew get so excited while playing and learning while using this! This computer is a much better one than the one he had previously! Its fun with many games and is easy to use. Fantastic first. Can't wait to get the advanced version when he is ready for it!

Two Years Old's Christmas Present
One of my favorite gifts I got for my baby. I feel in love with the graphics. The screen isn't in boring black in white like most educational laptops... The color is bright and it's fill with different learning and creative activities that keeps her entertain. I don't think we went through all of the activities yet. It also has the option of running off of batteries or an adapter, so I bought the v.smile adapter for it too and it runs great. I love how the keyboard made in the qwerty system and with a mouse. I couldn't ask for anything better except for maybe hooking it up online and maybe adding other activities like some of the other laptops vtech creates.

Useful & Educational Gadget for Kids
This is a useful gadget for kids who like to deal laptops & buttons. My son is almost 4 years old & he always get excited about sharing my laptop while i'm doing my research or writing a paper. So i decided to buy him this device to practice his hoppy & learn something new at the same time besides pressing the key board buttons :). I will begin with the negative points in my opinion about this gadget then move to the positive stuff:1- the actual display screen is smaller than what i expected (even smaller than the screen of an iPhone 4)it to be compared to the total size of the device itself. So i believe the screen should be bigger to attract kids more and to make it crisper since the pixels of the screen are big square dots. So bigger screen will make it a better device.2- A serious issue for the company to get it fixed is default VERY LOUD sound level when i first switch the device on. It must be on a medium to low level sound then its my call to go for a higher volume. Even though there is a mute button it doesn't function until you chose one of the learning programs and then you can shut the sound off but when first power on the device you cant shut the sound off till you go to setting button on the top left corner then move the arrow till you reach the sound option then you lower it from their( which something my child cant do on his own at this point of age).Positive stuff folks:1- multiple learning platforms to match the child interest. Begins with painting few portrays, letters pronunciation when the child press any letter.2- there is an option to give the device a nick name to make your child feels its his own little laptop. Other math learning features but with all that been said, the room for more interaction and options need to be added to this device. It is not a smart ipad or tablet or amazon fire device. Its much more simpler with less capabilities and display quality due to the very small size of the screen.Bottom line here, its a toy & no worry if it got broken or damaged.I'm not going to say dont buy it but rather outweigh your child need and go from their.Regards

Educational but display hurts my eyes
I hate this toy.... I bought it so my daughter could feel like mom working on her own laptop but the display is horrible! All I see are red, blue and green colors shooting out of the display (it's hard to explain) but it hurts my eyes to even be near this thing. My daughter said she didn't see it and loves playing with it so I let her keep playing with it. Luckily the thing finally broke the other day (after 5 years) and we can throw it away! This is probably my least favorite toy I have ever purchased.

Doesn't Hold Attention
I bought this learning laptop for my 2 year old daughter for Christmas since she always likes to try to use my laptop--usually at the same time that I'm trying to use it. I chose it because it had a color screen as well as a QWERTY keyboard which seems to be lacking in a lot of the other learning laptops out there. My daughter already knows her abc's, numbers, & colors, but with all of the activities I hoped that it would still be able to hold her attention. Unfortunately she gets bored with it quickly and doesn't play with it often, even when I sit with her to help her push the buttons she might not otherwise understand (arrow keys & such to choose different options). It does seem to get monotonous with the same cut screen and sounds over and over again, so I can't really blame her, lol.

Gift for a friends daughter
We purchased the laptop for a friends daughter as she was turning 6 years old. It was easy to open and remove from the box. We opened the box early to make sure there wasn't any issues with twist ties/clamshell packaging. Lucky enough the manufacturer installed user friendly ways of attaching the product to the retail packaging. The birthday girl opened the packaged and began to play with the unit. Within a few minutes she was playing the different games and getting used to using the mouse. Picture quality is good for the price.
