I don't normally go online and order skulls, but I needed this for a birthday party, and couldn't wait until Halloween rolled back around to get any in local stores.Since I was on a time crunch, I found this listing and was pretty impressed by the pictures. But I gotta say when I got it in, it was way above the quality I was expecting. I don't see any lines from casting, and there is a great deal of detail that I was not expecting, even the underside is very well done. Most decorative skulls have weird cuts for the teeth, but this looks very real. The paint is phenomenally well done.Like other reviews said, it's a fair amount smaller than an adult skull. I knew that going in, and it holds true. I'd put the measurements to that of a small child, like 5 or 6. But honestly, that doesn't really take anything from it. It's a great prop in anything pirate or Halloween.As for sturdiness, I can attest to it being VERY sturdy. Fresh out of the box, my daughter dropped it on our concrete floor when I handed it to her. It has a dense plastic hollow sound, and a little give from the material, which is why it bounced a bit when it hit the floor.Overall, for the money, I'd say this is a gem of a find. I will definitely be back for more, and I've already referred a family member, who is really into skulls and Halloween. I can't wait to put this thing in a treasure chest!

This skull was the perfect size and very realistic looking. The only "negative "thing I would have to say is that the mandible or the lower jaw came detached from the rest of it. Not a huge deal, I just glued it in place but I wasn't expecting that. Overall, very satisfied.

Came across this little guy a while back, and threw it into my Wish List for later review. ... But then I placed an order for some other stuff, and the big item didn't count toward the 'free shipping' since it wasn't being shipped from Amazon. So instead of paying $8 and something for shipping, I added this guy and it was only $7 dollars more for the order. But glad I did, because he's really cool. I keep him near my art setup and he fits well. I also use him to hold my glasses when not working, which works quite well. ... I'm glad he's not full or actual size. I don't think I would like it as much if it were. The quality and design is great, and he looks perfect as is, with nice colors and details.

The media could not be loaded. This skull looks good. It is small but that’s expected from the description. However the photo shows dark brown eye sockets and it has red. A bit disappointed by that but I’ll probably just color them myself as I like it otherwise. Nice and hefty.

It’s got a nice weight, and it looks very realistic. But be warned, it’s only child size.

WARNING In the product description this skull head is listed as 6.5 high, which would make this skull head a large skull, it's not, it's 4.5 high, this makes it a SMALL SKULL. Having said that, it's a nice well made and heavy enough skull for all year round skull decor display. The seller I bought it from was sunshine megastore and they didn't ship out for 12 days so it took 17 days to receive, also the seller had it in a box to big for the skull and it was in a plastic ziplock kind of bag with no padding or bubble wrap at all in the box and the box ( shipped through ups ) was all busted up and partly open when it arrived, it's a miracle it arrived ok and not all broken up.

Luckily I read the reviews before purchasing this so I knew it was going to be a smaller skull. The bottom of the skull is neat and has detail that makes it look realistic. If you are looking for a smaller sized skull, this could work for you. It seemed to be made of a solid material. I actually washed it off and used it as part of a platter (covered it in cheese and used red food coloring to look like blood) It was held up to the cheese and was inexpensive enough that if I didn't want to keep it, I didn't feel bad throwing it away instead of chiseling cheese out of it.

I wasn't happy with how small it was, but that was my fault for not paying attention to the description. I had anticipated a "full size" skull. That aside, it is of excellent quality and it is quite detailed. It looks amazing on my dining room table next to the candelabra so I'm very impressed overall. Highly recommend--but make sure to check dimensions prior to ordering. :)
